(Prior art) In recent years, passenger cars have been developed in which the engine is placed at the rear of the vehicle to drive the rear wheels. Various problems arise depending on the installation location. For example, if the radiator is placed at the front of the vehicle body, the piping system connecting the radiator and the engine body becomes long, which inevitably reduces the cooling water circulation performance and is disadvantageous in terms of piping costs. Furthermore, if the radiator is installed on the rear side of the vehicle body, it is difficult to take in cooling air for cooling the radiator, which not only leads to a decrease in cooling performance but also poses a risk of restricting the arrangement of the engine body.

(Object of the invention) The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and
The purpose is to provide a lower vehicle body structure in which a radiator is installed in a position that does not interfere with the engine body at the rear of the vehicle body, and in which cooling air can be easily taken in.

(Means for Achieving the Object) The present invention provides, as a means for achieving the above object, an engine body disposed in an engine room formed at the rear of a vehicle body, and an exhaust port provided above the engine body in the engine room. In the lower body structure of an automobile, the floor panel is continuously raised in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body at the central part of the floor panel in the vehicle direction, between the left and right seats, and opens downward in the front part. A ventilation passage having a wind inlet facing the front part of the engine compartment is formed at the rear, and the ventilation passage is connected to a vertical wall surface formed in an unwidened shape toward the rear of the vehicle body, and a vertical wall surface facing toward the rear of the vehicle body. A radiator is disposed at the air outlet of the ventilation passage.

is formed. The ventilation passage 9 has vertical wall surfaces 9a, 9a formed in an unwidened shape from the front end of the floor panel 8 toward the rear of the vehicle body, and is formed to gradually extend upward from the front end of the floor panel 8 toward the rear of the vehicle body. It has an air inlet 10 opening downward at the front and an air outlet 11 facing the engine room 2 at the rear. Here, it is desirable that the width between the vertical wall surfaces 9a, 9a be as large as possible without interfering with the sheets 12, 12 installed on the floor panel 8. Note that in this embodiment, the air outlet 11 of the ventilation passage 9
is opened in front of the engine body 3 in the engine room 2.

In the above structure, the cooling air W taken in from the air inlet 10 of the ventilation passage 9 is smoothly discharged from the exhaust port 17 as an upward flow passing through the air outlet 11, the radiator 13, and the engine body 3.
In this process, after cooling the engine cooling water by exchanging heat with the engine cooling water circulating in the radiator 13 disposed at the air outlet 11 of the ventilation passage 9, the engine body 3
The hot air is discharged from the exhaust port 17 together with the hot air. Therefore, even though the radiator 13 is disposed at the rear of the vehicle body 1, the cooling air W can be taken in extremely effectively.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, there is provided a lower body of an automobile in which an engine body is disposed in an engine room formed at the rear of the vehicle body, and an exhaust port is provided above the engine body in the engine room. In the structure, the floor panel is continuously raised in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in the central part of the floor panel, and the front part has a downwardly opening wind inlet, and the rear part has a wind inlet facing the front part of the engine room. A ventilation passage having an outlet is formed, and the ventilation passage is formed by a vertical wall surface which is formed to widen towards the rear of the vehicle body, and an upper wall surface which is formed so as to gradually extend upward toward the rear of the vehicle body. At the same time, a radiator is disposed at the air outlet of the ventilation passage, and the cooling air taken in from the large air inlet at the bottom of the vehicle body flows upward through the air outlet, the radiator, and the engine body. As a result, even though the radiator and engine body are located in the center of the rear of the vehicle, an extremely effective cooling effect can be obtained, resulting in an excellent and efficient cooling performance. effective.

Furthermore, since the ventilation passage is formed between the left and right sheets so that its flow passage cross-sectional area gradually expands toward the exit side, the opening area of the air outlet can be increased without interfering with the left and right sheets. This makes it possible to improve the heat dissipation effect of the radiator.
