Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the spectacle frame which is low in a fraction defective, is highly strong in respective parts and is foldable to a compact form by dividing the front and temples constituting the spectacle frame further to respectively small parts and separately casting the divided respective parts by a precision casting method. CONSTITUTION:The metallic spectacle frame 1 is constituted of the integrated front 2 which is formed by pivotally connecting a pair of right and left rim frames 3 respectively integrally having pads 6 in the part of a bridge 4 and the temples 7 which are bisected from the axial central part and are integrated by pivotally connecting the joints and are respectively connected to a pair of the rim frames 3. The front 2 and the respective parts constituting the temples 7 are formed by using titanium or titanium alloy, magnesium or magnesium alloy as a blank material and separately casting these materials by the precision casting method. The respective parts are thereafter assembled. Then, the respective parts are short even if these parts are fine at the time of casting and, therefore, the working is easy and the fraction defective is low. Such metallic spectacle frame is highly strong and is sufficiently usable as the spectacle frame.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, the manufacture of metal eyeglass frames has been carried out by pressing. However, in the case of press working, it is not possible to form conspicuous concavities and convexities and to form high mountain-shaped portions. Therefore, the shape that can be formed is limited, and the product cannot have a three-dimensional effect.

According to this method, the intended purpose could be achieved in that a metal spectacle frame having prominent irregularities and high mountain-shaped portions could be manufactured, but it was actually manufactured. Looking at it, the front and temple are integrally molded, respectively, and since they are thin and long, they retain strength enough to withstand as a spectacle frame when completed. The problem turned out to be difficult. Further, there is a problem that processing of thin and long ones in manufacturing has bad conditions in the case of using a precision casting method, resulting in a high defective rate.

Therefore, as a result of further research and experimentation, the present inventor has divided the front and temples constituting the spectacle frame into smaller parts, and precision-casted each divided part. The inventors have found that the above-mentioned problems can be solved by separately assembling the respective parts and then assembling the respective parts integrally, and have completed the present invention.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION However, the gist of the present invention is to provide a front part which is formed by pivotally connecting a pair of left and right rim frames, each of which has a pad integrally with each other, by pivotally connecting them to each other. A metal spectacle frame is constituted by temples that are divided into two from the central portion in the axial direction and are integrally connected by pivotally connecting the joints, and the temples are respectively connected to the pair of rim frames. Using titanium or titanium alloy, magnesium or magnesium alloy as a raw material, each of the constituent parts is separately cast by a precision casting method,
Then, there is a method for manufacturing a metal spectacle frame, which is characterized by assembling the respective parts.

As described above, the present invention divides the front and temples constituting the spectacle frame into smaller parts,
Since each of the divided parts is cast separately by the precision casting method, even if each part is thin and short when casting, it is easy to process and the defective rate is also low. . Further, when completed, each part is thin but short and therefore strong in strength, and therefore, when assembled, it has sufficient strength to be used as an eyeglass frame. Also, when assembling each part, since the connection of each part is a pivotal connection, both the front and temple can be bent at the middle part, so that it becomes a foldable eyeglass frame, It is compact and convenient. Further, by using any one of titanium, titanium alloy, magnesium, and magnesium alloy as the material, it is possible to further reduce the weight.
