Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a sandwich molded product capable of being certainly formed into a sandwich structure even in the peripheral edge part of the mounting part thereof and excellent in rigidity. CONSTITUTION:In molding a mud guard as a sandwich molded product consisting of a core layer and a skin layer and having a mounting part, a mold 5 wherein a core 54 for forming the mounting hole of the mounting part is provided in a cavity 50 and a tab 53 having a plurality of small passages 51, 52 is provided in the vicinity of the core 54 is used. A skin layer material 20 is injected in the cavity 50 and a core layer material 30 is injected in the skin layer material 20. Since the skin layer material 20 and the core layer material 30 flow in a plurality of the small passages 51, 52 on both sides of the core 54, the periphery of the mounting hole can be certainly molded into a sandwich structure.

2. Description of the Related Art As a sandwich molding method of synthetic resin, there is a technology disclosed in, for example, JP-A-3-86510. This molding method is a method in which a skin layer material is first injected into a cavity of a molding die by an injection nozzle, and then a core layer material is further injected to produce a sandwich synthetic resin molded product composed of the skin layer material and the core layer material. Is. By using this method, it is possible to manufacture a sandwich molded article having a hard core layer inside and coating a soft skin layer on the surface thereof.

Not only the main body 90 but also the mounting portion 92 has a sandwich structure composed of a hard core layer material 3 and a soft skin layer 2 coated on the surface thereof. The reason why the mounting portion 92 has such a sandwich structure is that the mounting portion 92 needs to have high strength because it is mounted on a mating article such as a vehicle body by inserting a bolt (not shown) into the mounting hole 91. is there. Further, when tightening the bolts and nuts, the surface of the mounting portion 92 should have some elasticity. This elasticity distributes the tightening stress, and the excessive tightening force is not concentrated on the locking piece. Therefore, the mounting portion 92
The core layer material exists near the tip of the attachment hole 91 (see FIG. 2), and it is required that the core layer material covers these surfaces.

However, according to the conventional sandwich molding method, as shown in FIG. 5, it is difficult for the attachment portion 92 to have a sandwich structure, and the skin layer material 20 alone may be formed. .. That is, the core layer material 3 has not entered the mounting portion 92. The reason for this is that during sandwich molding, the skin layer material is first injected into the cavity, and then the core layer material is injected into the skin layer material. It is thought that this is because the core layer material cannot be entered because it is filled with the material.

What is most noticeable in the present invention is that a core for forming a mounting hole in a mounting portion is provided in a cavity of a molding die, and a tab having a plurality of small flow paths is provided in the vicinity of the core. It is in the provision. The tab is provided so as to project to the outside of the cavity (see Fig. 1). Further, the small flow passages are passages through which the excess resin of the skin layer material and the core layer material, which communicates with the tabs, flow into the inner wall of the molding die, and for example, 2 to 4 are provided. The above small channel is
For example, 3 to 10m to the left and right of the center of the core
It is preferably provided in the range of m. As a result, the skin layer material and the core layer material uniformly flow around the core and flow into the tub through both small channels.

Further, as the above sandwich molded article,
There are mudguards, various moldings, etc. that have a mounting part with a mounting hole. Further, the small channel is provided so that the skin layer material that has arrived near the core first flows into the tab when the skin layer material is pushed by the core layer material. More specifically, except for the tab part above,
When the inside of the cavity is substantially filled with the skin layer material and the core layer material inside the cavity, the skin layer material starts to enter the tab through the vicinity of the core.

Then, the core layer material is injected into the skin layer material. By the injection of the core layer material, the inside of the cavity is completely filled with the skin layer material and the core layer material inside thereof. After that, the remaining skin layer material staying in the vicinity of the core is further flowed into the tab through the plurality of small channels due to the core layer material flowing in continuously. Therefore, the inside of the tub is filled with the skin layer material and the core layer material flowing therein. Therefore, according to the present invention, the peripheral portion of the mounting portion can be surely made to have the sandwich structure, and the sandwich molded article having excellent rigidity can be manufactured.

Example 1 A method for molding a sandwich molded article according to an example of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The sandwich molded product to be manufactured in this example is the automobile mudguard 4 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. The mudguard 4
As shown in FIG. 3, it is composed of a main body 41 to be mounted on the vehicle body, a rear mounting portion 410 having a mounting hole 411, and a lower piece 42 hung vertically below them. The main body 41 has a mounting hole 411 for inserting a bolt, and the front mounting portion 48 has a similar mounting hole 481. A recess 45 surrounded by the main body 41 and the front mounting portion 48 is provided. The recess 45 is a portion into which a part of the vehicle body is inserted.

The cross-sectional structure of the mudguard 4 is as follows.
As shown in FIG. 2, the main body (not shown) and the mounting portion 411 form a hard portion having a sandwich structure in which the core layer 3 is included in the skin layer 2 with a substantially uniform thickness.
That is, the main body 41 and the rear mounting portion 410 are hard portions because they include a hard core layer, and the lower piece 42 is a soft portion because it is made of only the soft skin layer material 20.
The reason why this structure is adopted is that the main body 41 and the rear mounting portion 410 are required to be strong so as to be mounted and fixed to the vehicle body. In addition, the mounting hole 48 of the front mounting portion 48
In the vicinity of 1, the entire peripheral portion has a sandwich structure composed of the skin layer material 20 and the core layer material 30. The inner wall of the mounting hole 481 is formed of the skin layer material 20.

Next, the injection molding method will be described. First, as shown in FIG. 1, first, in the cavity 50,
The skin layer material 20 is injected from a gate (not shown). The injection amount of the skin layer material 20 corresponds to the total volume of the total volume of the lower piece 42 and the volume of the skin layer 3 of the main body 41 and the rear mounting portion 410. Then, at the time of this injection, the skin layer material 20 is pushed forward in the main body forming portion. At this time, the skin layer material 20 in contact with the cavity wall is solidified to form a skin layer. And
The skin layer material 20 flows into both the mounting portion forming portion and the lower piece.

After that, the whole is cooled and solidified, and the molded product is taken out from the molding die 1. The molded product is as shown in FIG.
The mudguard 4 shown in FIG. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the rear mounting portion 410 of the mudguard 4 is provided with two small flow passage products 414 and a tab product 413 formed by the small flow passages 51 and 52 and the tab 53 of the molding die 1. Have Then, these are cut and removed at the base portion of the small flow path product 415. As described above, according to the molding method of this example, the main body 41, the rear mounting portion 410, and the front mounting portion 48.
However, the mudguard 4 having a sandwich structure in which the core layer material 30 is uniformly covered with the skin layer material 20 and having excellent rigidity can be easily manufactured.
