るフードを備え、該フードにはカム溝を有するカム部材
を着脱自在に挿着してなる雌コネクタを取付けておき、 前記ダッシュボードにインストルメントパネルを組付け
固定することにより雄コネクタを前記フードに部分的に
嵌合させて、前記雌,雄ターミナルが接触しない仮嵌合
位置に保持した後、前記カム部材を押し込んで前記カム
溝とカムピンとの係合により、雄コネクタを雌コネクタ
側に引き寄せて、雌,雄ターミナルが完全に接触する本
嵌合位置に移動させることを特徴とするコネクタの接続
方法。

コネクタホルダに前記雄コネクタを進退可能に支持せし
めると共に雄コネクタの外周壁の両側にはカムピンを突
設し、 前記雌コネクタのフードには、コネクタ嵌合方向に前記
カムピンに対するピン案内溝を設けると共に該ピン案内
溝と直交してアーム挿通孔を設け、該アーム挿通孔には
前記カムピンと係合するカム溝を設けた一対のアームを
有するカム部材の該アームを着脱可能に挿着し、 前記ダッシュボードとインストルメントパネルとの組付
け時に前記雄コネクタが雌コネクタのフードに前記雌,
雄のターミナルがほぼ未接触の状態で仮嵌合し、前記カ
ム部材の操作により前記カムピンがカム溝と係合して雄
コネクタが雌コネクタ側に引き寄せられ、前記仮嵌合位
置から前記雌,雄のターミナルが完全に接触する状態の
本嵌合位置に移動する構造としたことを特徴とするコネ
クタの接続装置。
