2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there is known a printer capable of accommodating a sheet printed by a printing section. FIG. 4 shows a schematic configuration of such a printer. In the figure, reference numeral 2 denotes a printing section, which is composed of a platen 3 and a print head 4 which are arranged to face each other. A ribbon guide 5 for guiding a sheet is provided between the platen 3 and the print head 4. Further, 6 is a feed roller which cooperates with the bail roller 7 and is formed so that the paper discharged from the printing unit 2 can be conveyed. A stock box 8 capable of accommodating a sheet is disposed downstream of the feed roller 6 in the conveyance of the sheet. Further, between the feed roller 6 and the stock box 8, a paper pressing means (for example, a lumirror 19) capable of pressing the paper and guiding it to the stock box 8 is provided. Specifically, the lumirror 19 has its base end fixed to the transparent cover 9 that is a stationary body, and is configured to press the paper by utilizing its own elastic force.

According to this embodiment, however, the sheet pressing means is formed of a plurality of plate-shaped members 11 arranged in the axial direction of the feed roller 6, and the respective plate-shaped members 11 are arranged.
Since the base end 12 of the sheet is rotatably supported by the stationary body (transparent cover 9) and the tip 13 is in contact with the feed roller 6, it is possible to prevent the sheet pressing means (plate member 11) from being plastically deformed. Thus, the paper can be smoothly stored in the paper storage unit (stock box 8).

According to the above embodiment, each plate member 1
1 is configured to press the sheet by using its own weight, but as shown in FIG. 3, the sheet is pressed by using the spring force of the spring (eg, the toggle spring 14) in addition to the own weight of the plate member 11. It may be configured to. With such a configuration, each plate-shaped member 1 is provided in order to reduce the size and weight of the printer.
Even if 1 is thin (that is, lightweight), it is possible to press the paper properly and smoothly guide it to the stock box 8.
