[Detailed description of the invention] [Industrial application field] The present invention is a method for converting coin rolls (wrapped coins in which a predetermined number of coins of the same denomination are wrapped in wrapping paper) that are dropped and discharged from a coin packaging unit into a roll of coins. Regarding a coin wrapping machine that corrects the horizontal position by a discharge gutter and releases the coin roll from the coin roll discharge port of the gutter, it is particularly useful to open and close the coin roll discharge port to lock the coin roll. The present invention relates to a gate device including a gate member that performs discharge.

In conventional coin wrapping machines, the coin roll dropped from the coin packaging section is corrected to a horizontal position in the coin roll discharge gutter section, and then released from the coin roll discharge port of the gutter. It is ejected from the bar release port due to the rolling of the bar due to its own weight when changing direction. In some cases, a coin roll receiving box is placed in front of this coin release outlet.
In some cases, a conveyor or chute is installed to transport the bar to another location, but in the above-mentioned discharge due to its own weight rolling, the bar is often discharged to a receiving box conveyor, etc. in an unstable posture. There are disadvantages such as the wrapping paper that is wrapped in it is easy to tear, and it is also difficult to transport by conveyor etc.

After locking the metal bar with this gate member, I decided to release the metal bar by opening the gate member, and when I experimented, I was able to determine the posture of the metal bar when it was released, so the above-mentioned drawbacks were resolved. However, it has been found that the following drawback occurs as another problem. That is, the gate member is formed with a closing surface that closes the coin roll outlet in the gutter to prevent loose coins from spilling out of the coin roll outlet, but the closing surface of this gate member is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the coin roll. This means that when the metal bar comes into line contact with the gate member and when the metal bar is locked by the gate member and when the metal bar is released by opening the gate member, the wrapping paper wrapped around the circumferential surface of the metal bar is torn. In particular, when the direction in which the wrapping paper is wrapped around the metal bar is the same as the direction of rotation when the metal bar rolls, and the metal bar locking of the gate member is in the direction in which the wrapping paper is torn off, the wrapping paper Crushing is likely to occur.

The present invention was developed in view of the above points, and includes forming a plurality of bulging protrusions on the closing surface of the gate member,
By locking the metal bar with these bulging protrusions, the contact between the outer circumferential surface of the metal bar and the gate member becomes point contact, and when the gate member locks the metal bar and the gate member. To provide a gate device for a coin wrapping machine in which there is no fear of tearing off wrapping paper wrapped around a coin roll whenever the coin roll is released by opening.

For details, FIG. 6a shows the shape seen from the front in FIG. 2, and FIG. 6b shows the shape seen from the top in FIG. 2. And the bulging protrusions 27a, 2
7a is a gate member 27 formed by pressing, for example.
A part of the surface is processed to protrude, and its shape is an arcuate chevron shape when viewed from the top, as shown in FIG. 6b. A metal bar falling vertically in the gutter 25 (indicated by the dashed dot line in Figure 6b) is converted from vertical to horizontal direction while moving in the direction of the two-dot chain arrow. (shown by the two-dot chain line in b). The tip of the metal bar in the axial direction comes into contact with the abutting part 25b at the front end of the gutter 25, and is guided by the abutting part 25b and moves along the bottom surface 25c of the gutter 25 in the direction of the dashed double-dashed line arrow. The bulging protrusions 27a, 27a make point contact with the circumferential surface of the bar (since the circumferential surface of the bar is a circle, the top line of the bulging protrusions 27a, 27a becomes a tangent, and the contact area is a point contact). to lock the bar (the bar position indicated by the solid line in FIG. 6b). At the time of changing the attitude of the metal bar to the horizontal attitude, the vertical metal bar (indicated by the dashed dot line in Fig. 6b) heads towards the surface of the gate member 27 in a horizontal attitude via the path indicated by the solid arrow, and as shown in Fig. 6b. Although it may be in the state shown by the solid line, even in that case, it will not come into point contact with the bulging protrusions 27a, 27a and tear the wrapping paper on the circumferential surface of the metal bar, as described above.

In addition, after the two points are supported and positioned by the bulging protrusions 27a, 27a, as the gate member 27 is opened, the point contact portion with the metal bar changes to the bulging protrusions 27a, 27a on the lower side. Even if the bar is released, the bar is always released through two-point contact, so the bar is supported at two points until the bar releases point contact with the bulging protrusions 27a, 27a, and the rolling of the bar is prevented. The moving direction posture is maintained, and there are no problems such as the rolling direction being diagonal.

The coins stored in the storage hopper part A in FIG. The coins are delivered in a single layer in the thickness direction, and the coins are regulated and aligned in a line at the entrance of the coin passage C, and are forcibly transferred within the passage C by a transfer belt 9. While the coins are being conveyed, small-diameter coins mixed with the coins are removed into the sorting slot, and only coins of regular denominations are sent to the coin stacking section E after passing through the sensor 10 of the coin counting section D.
When feeding the coins, the stacking belts 12, 12 are driven by a predetermined pitch, and the coin supporting parts 12a, 12
Coins are stacked one after another on a. When the coin counter D counts the number of coins in a packaging unit, the stopper 11 moves forward to stop the next coin of that number, and also temporarily stops the rotary disk 3 and the conveyor belt 9. The counting signal of the number of packaging units from the sensor 10 is transmitted by continuously rotating the stacking belts 12, 12, lowering the opposing inner surfaces of the belts, raising the outer surfaces, and moving the coin supporting parts 12a, 12a upward again. Position it at the upper initial position on the front side. Coin support part 1
The stacked coins placed on 2a and 12a are then placed on the opening/closing shutter 14 and held there. Next, in FIG. 4, when a signal indicating that the coin counting unit D has finished counting the number of coins per package and a signal from the switch SW 4 indicating that the camshaft 20 is in the normal position are input to the first control unit 55. Motor for camshaft 20
Rotate M3 to rotate the camshaft 20 once. One rotation of the camshaft 20 completes one packaging cycle. After the camshaft 20 starts one rotation, the stacked coin support rod 18 is first moved radially from the lower side of the packaging space to be directly below the packaging space, and then ascends within the packaging space to open and close the opening/closing shutter. 14
to the bottom of. Immediately thereafter, a cam (not shown) of the camshaft 20 causes a cam switch (not shown) to switch to a rotation timing of a predetermined angle of the camshaft 20, actuating a shutter solenoid (not shown) and opening/closing the shutter 14. Let it open. By opening, the stacked coins are transferred onto the stacked coin support rod 20, and as the support rod 20 is lowered, the stacked coins are also lowered. When the upper end of the stacked coins moves below the opening/closing shutter 14, the cam switch is turned over and returned to its original position, deactivating the shutter solenoid and closing the opening/closing shutter 14. The coin counting section D is operated by a signal from a counting start switch (not shown) in the operation command section 53 operated by a cam (not shown) on the camshaft 20, and the stopper 11 is moved out of the course. At the same time, the rotating disk 3 and the transfer belt 9 are driven to restart counting and piling operations.

The stacked coin support rod 18 continues to descend within the packaging space, descends to the packaging position, and is temporarily stopped. Immediately after that, the wrapping rollers 15, 16, and 17 that rotate pick up the stacked coins and rotate them. Immediately after that, the tip of the wrapping paper W is fed between the circumferential surface of the stacked coins and the wrapping roller 15 by the paper feed rollers 22, 22, and is wound around the circumferential surface of the stacked coins, and the subsequent part of the wrapping paper W is tensed, pressed against the cutting blade 24, and cut. The tip of the wrapping paper, which has a newly formed protruding V shape by cutting, is transferred to the wrapping roller 1 by the paper feed rollers 22, 22 at a predetermined time of the wrapping cycle.
It is located at the start position near No. 5 in preparation for the paper feeding operation of the next packaging cycle.

When the crimping operation is completed, the winding hooks 19, 19 move away from each other, and then move away in the radial direction and move away from between the packaging rollers 15, 16. Immediately after that, the support rod 18 moves downward from the bottom surface of the stacked coins, then moves in the radial direction, returns to a position where it does not interfere with the falling of the coin bars, and waits. Immediately after that, the camshaft 20 returns to its normal position, and the first control section 55 is activated by a signal from the switch SW4 shown in FIG. 4 to stop the motor M3 for the camshaft 20. However, when the camshaft 20 returns to its normal position, that is, when the signal from the switch SW 4 is input to the first control section 55, the coin counter D has finished counting the next packaging unit. , the camshaft 20 continues one revolution without stopping (and without stopping the motor M3 ), and the next cycle of packaging continues.

When time t b has elapsed after the rotation of the motor M 1 , the motor M 1 is stopped by a signal from the elapsed time detector 54 shown in FIG. 4 .
At this time, the gate member 27 stops at the half-open position indicated by the dashed line in FIG. 3, leaving the metal bar in a locked state. On the other hand, the carrier part 42 is in its home position at the top in FIG. 3, and the motor M2 for raising and lowering the carrier part 42 lowers the carrier part 42 by rotating in the normal direction, and raises it by rotating in the reverse direction. be. and the fifth
In the figure, motor M 2 is the time detector 54 in Figure 4.
When the signal is input to the first control section 55 when detecting the elapsed time ta after the start of rotation of the camshaft 20, a corresponding signal is input from the first control section 55 to the second control section 56, and the signal and , detector P 2 indicates that there is no bar (in the case of a packaging cycle immediately after the packaging starts, check whether a bar is blocking detector P 2 ) or that the bar has passed (in the case of the second and subsequent packaging cycles). In this case, when a signal indicating whether the coin roll passes through the detector P 2 after the roll blocks the detector P 2 is detected, both signals are input to the second control unit 56. , rotate the lift motor M2 forward for td time. td
After time has elapsed, switch SW 2 detects the lowering of carrier section 42 to the coin roll receiving position, and motor M 2
to stop. On the other hand, the detection by the switch SW 2 causes the gate member motor M 1 to rotate for a time tc, and then the switch SW 1 detects the fully closed position of the gate member 27 and stops the motor M 1 . When the motor M1 rotates during this time tc, the gate member 27 moves from the half-open position to the fully open position and then to the fully closed position (the cam plate 31 in FIG. 3 rotates in the direction of the arrow), and from the half open position to the fully open position. When moving the metal bar and the gate member 27
It is released from the lock, rolls on the bottom surface 35a, and is ejected into the carrier section 42. Motor for gate parts
M 1 is stopped by switch SW 1 when the tc time has elapsed, but the camshaft 20 is rotated 360° after one rotation and continues the next rotation to continue the next packaging cycle.
When ta time elapses from T 4 time, rotate again for tb time,
The gate member 27 is stopped at the half-open position.

In the case of recovery delay b, that is, when dealing with the movement delay of the carrier section 42 without temporarily stopping the camshaft 20, the rotation of the camshaft 20 by motor M 3 is the same as in normal a, and the rotation of motor M 1 is The process remains the same until the gate member 27 is moved to the half-open position. However, the normal rotation of motor M 2 (lowering of the carrier section 42) is detected by detector P 2 , which indicates that there is no rotation (first one).
Or, the detection time of the passage of coins (second and subsequent ones) is T 1
Since it is later than the time, the detection time of switch SW 2 is also delayed, and the start time of rotation of motor M 1 during the tc time for ejecting the metal bar is also delayed.

The camshaft 20 rotates up to 115° in FIG. 5, and the switch SW 5 in FIG. Detector P 2 → Second control unit 56 → First control unit 5
Since the signal to the camshaft 5 is not input to the first control unit 55, the camshaft 2 rotated by the motor M3
Rotation is temporarily interrupted when the rotation angle reaches 0 to 115°.
This rotation of the camshaft 20 (resuming rotation from an angle of 115°) can be restarted within the time period te from time T 2 , and the detector P 2 detects no bar (first bar). ) or the time T 3 after tf time has elapsed since the passing of the coin roll (the second and subsequent coin rolls) is (T 2 + te)
If the time has elapsed, the rotation of the camshaft 20 is restarted. Note that if the time T 3 is later than the time (T 2 +tf), the entire packaging machine is stopped. Motor M1 , M2
The command to drive or stop is carried out by the elapsed time detector 54, detectors P 1 and P 2 , switches SW 2 and SW 3, etc. in the same way as in the case of normal a and delayed recovery b.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a plurality of protruding protrusions are formed on the closing surface of the gate member, and the metal bar is retained by these protruding protrusions, so that the bar The contact between the outer circumferential surface of the metal and the gate member is point contact, and the metal bar is wrapped around the metal bar both when the outer peripheral surface of the metal bar is locked by the gate member and when the metal bar rolls and is released by opening the gate member. This has the excellent effect of eliminating the risk of tearing off the wrapping paper.

In the illustrated embodiment, the gate member 27 is temporarily stopped at a half-open position in order to release the bar from a position as close to the bar lift I as possible, and this is particularly effective. Of course, the same effect can be obtained even if the opening is not necessarily in the half-open position but in the fully closed-fully open position.
