洩れが発生し、この現象をパツキン数の増加によ
り阻止するのは事実上不可能であつた。しかも取
扱対象物が食品の粉末である場合(粉体輸送装
置、噴霧乾燥装置等)、該粉末が概して熱に不安
定であるため、摩擦によるグランドパツキンの温
度上昇が対象食品粉末の品質を低下させること
は、パツキンの交換の手数以上の、より重要な問

断するシール材とを含み、送気管内へ圧入された
気体が、上記クリヤランスを経て上記グランドパ
ツキンに衝突し、該パツキンを冷却させると同時
に上記ケーシング内からパツキン箱内へ迷入する
粉体に対し封止作用を営むようにしたことを特徴
とする食品粉体取扱用回転機器における回転軸の
シール装置を要旨とする。以下、考案の詳細につ
いて説明する。 (構造) 本案装置におけるパツキン箱及びパツキン押さ
えの構造は、基本的に従来のものと類似である
が、本案装置においては、パツキン箱内を気密化
する必要があるのでパツキン押さえのフランジ側
開口部内周に例えば弗素ゴム等の低摩擦性弾性材
料で作られたガスケツトが施される。このガスケ
