Conventionally, with this type of connector, an insertion connector built into the tip of a flat cable is inserted into the socket side attached to an electronic device, and a tightening wire spring installed on the socket side connects the socket side and the insertion connector. Since it was fixed, the mechanism for holding the wire spring on the socket side tended to be complicated, and there was a desire to simplify it.

[Prior Art] A conventional connector has a configuration shown in FIG. 3. In Figure 3, 1 is the socket side of the connector, 2
indicates an insertion connector. When the socket side 1 is fixed to, for example, the side surface of an electronic device (not shown) and the insertion connector 2 is inserted into the socket side, it is connected to the flat cable 3 via the conductor connection piece 7 buried in advance. . Since the other end of the flat cable 3 is connected to other equipment, the equipment is wired together. When the insertion connector 2 is inserted into the socket side 1, a tightening wire spring 4 is used to fix both.
hook onto the protrusion of the insertion connector 2. The wire spring 4 is provided to prevent it from coming off easily when a force is applied in the direction of pulling out the connector by holding the flat cable 3, but since it supports a thin wire against the base material, the method of supporting it is complicated. It was hot. FIG. 4 is an enlarged view of the support part, and the tips 41, 42 of the wire spring 4 are inserted into the bent parts 61, 62 of the metal shell 6, which is partially cut out. The metal shell 6 is provided so as to cover the surface of the insulating member 5 constituting the connector body and the conductor connection piece 7, and performs electrical connection and serves as a shield. Numeral 8 tightens the metal shell 6 and the insulating member 5 with a tightening screw. In addition to the configuration shown in Figure 5, a "caulking" structure using eyelets or a screw was used for fastening.

[Problems that the invention aims to solve] Since a thin steel wire is bent and used as a wire spring, it was necessary to take a lot of work to specify one end of the wire. The increased number of parts such as eyelets and screws also made the connector expensive.

A conductor connection piece 7 is attached to the casing of the molded insulating member 5.
A metal shell 6 is provided on the protrusion and the surface of the insulating member, and the insertion connector is hooked onto the insertion connector after insertion, and is used for tightening to fix both the insertion and the socket. In a connector equipped with a wire spring 4, the present invention has the following configuration. That is, the metal shell 6 has tongue pieces 64 and 65 that stand vertically by being cut and raised, and a notch 63 that passes through the metal shell 6. The metal shell 6 protrudes from the notch 63 and is supported in contact with the tongue pieces 64 and 65. The protruding parts 51 and 52 of the insulating member 5 serve as holding parts for the wire spring.

[Function] The protrusions 51 and 52 from the insulating member 5 protrude to the wire spring 4 side through the notch of the metal shell 6, and extend the wire spring 4 in a direction parallel to the surface of the metal shell 6. Provide a circular hole for insertion. Further, the tongue pieces 64 and 65 cut and raised from the metal shell 6 at one end of the notch are also provided with circular holes in positions and directions aligned with the circular holes of the projections 51 and 52. Ends 41, 4 of wire spring 4
Wire spring 4 can be installed by simply inserting wire spring 2 into both circular holes.
can support. Arrow A in FIG. 1 indicates that the insert should be pressed a little to confirm that the insertion is secure. Next, when an insertion connector (not shown) is inserted, the wire spring 4 is moved in the direction of arrow B and hooked onto a protrusion of the insertion connector to be fixed. Since the protrusions 51 and 52 from the insulating member 5 are manufactured by molding at the same time as the main body, they can be manufactured at low cost.

[Embodiment] FIG. 2 is a top view showing an embodiment of the present invention.
In FIG. 2, the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 indicate the same parts. Reference numerals 64 and 65 in FIG. 2 indicate tongue pieces cut and raised from the metal shell 6. That is, a semicircular or wide U-shaped cut is made at one end of the notch 63 in the metal shell 6, and the tongues 64 and 65 are overlapped with the protrusions 51 and 52 of the insulating member 5. A circular hole is then made in the same position in both, and the ends 41 and 42 of the wire spring 4 are inserted. At that time, the support of the wire spring 4 becomes stronger compared to the case where only the insulating member 5 is used.
Further, the protrusion 53 acts as a stopper for the wire spring 4 to come off. That is, after fixing the wire spring 4 as described above, if it is strongly pulled in the direction of the circular arc, the tips 41 and 42 approach each other and the protrusions 51 and 5
There is a possibility that it will fall outside of 2. Therefore, the tip portion 41,
A protruding portion 53 of an insulating member is provided so that 42 does not approach.

[Effects of the invention] As described above, according to the invention, when molding the insulating member 5, the wire spring can be assembled by an extremely simple operation of simultaneously making the protrusion and notching and raising the metal shell. It can be held and does not require any special supporting parts. This reduces component costs and installation man-hours, making it much cheaper than conventional connectors. In addition, since the present invention uses both an insulating member and a metal member as a member for holding the wire spring, sufficient strength can be maintained even with a simple structure. Since the wire spring can rotate around the holding member, it is effective to maintain its strength.
