However, the former connector described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 61-42075 has a structure in which the terminal that also serves as the mounting flange protrudes in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical shell. Because the mounting flange needs to have the required strength, the terminal has to be thicker than the cylindrical shell, and the terminal is integrated with the cylindrical shell and the terminal that also serves as the mounting flange. It is difficult to manufacture it using simple methods such as bending. Further, when the connector described in the publication is mounted on a wiring board, the troublesome work of screwing the terminal which also serves as a mounting flange to the wiring board is required.

On the other hand, in the latter connector described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 62-74770, the mounting frame and the insulator are mutually connected by press-fitting one plate-shaped fixing piece in the mounting frame into the groove of the insulator. Since the insulator is fixed, when one terminal of the mounting frame is soldered to the wiring board (mounted state), the insulator cannot be attached to the wiring board through only one plate-shaped fixing piece of the mounting frame. It is in an unstable state where it is supported by one leg, and when plugging or removing the plug, the plate-shaped fixing piece easily swings due to the force applied to the insulator. There is a concern that the vibrations may easily be transmitted to the soldered parts of the terminals, making it easier for solder peeling and circuit peeling to occur.

This invention was made in view of the above circumstances, and the purpose of this invention is to firmly fix the shell and insulator by making it possible to attach them to a common mounting frame made of a conductor. Moreover, by devising the shape of the mounting frame, which is integrally equipped with a terminal electrically connected to the shell, the mounting frame can be manufactured by a simple method such as bending. To provide a connector that can be mounted on a wiring board without screwing, and at the same time can be mounted firmly and stably on the wiring board.

Further, since the mounting frame 3 is formed in a U-shape in plan view, the terminals 36 of each side plate portion 33, 33,
36 is not easily deformed or swayed in the mounted state where it is soldered to the wiring board.
Furthermore, as described above, since the body part 42 of the insulator 4 is fitted between the left and right side plate parts 33, 33, the body part 42 prevents deformation and rocking due to the shape of the mounting frame 23 itself. Prevention function is promoted. Furthermore, since the terminals 36 extend from the left and right side plates 33, 33 of the mounting frame 3, in the above-mentioned mounting state, those two terminals 36, 36 (i.e., the two legs (by this), the connector is firmly and stably supported by the wiring board.

The connector 1 can be attached to the back plate of an electrical device in a one-touch manner by using the engagement recess 35 of the attachment frame 3. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the mounting plate 3 of the back plate etc.
00, two mounting legs 310 having claw pieces 311 at the tips are provided protrudingly, and by fitting the mounting frame 3 between these mounting legs 310, the claw pieces are inserted into the engagement recess 35. If 311 is engaged, one-touch installation becomes possible. In addition, when attaching in this manner, it is necessary to open a hole 301 in the mounting plate 300 into which the flange 22 of the shell 2 fits.
