In cold regions, it is often observed that the fan blades of the outdoor unit for an air conditioner in winter become frozen due to freezing. It is important to detect the fan lock, because if the fan is operated while locked, it may cause the temperature fuse of the fan to fly or the refrigeration cycle to malfunction.

However, in an air conditioner that has hitherto been generally applied, as shown in FIG. 5, the current flowing through the compressor 2 is detected by the current detector 1 provided in the power supply circuit 6, and a complock or the like is detected. Is detected, the fan motor 3 of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner can be controlled by simply energizing it with a relay 7 or the like.
No measures are taken to detect the abnormal condition (disconnection of connector 4, motor lock, etc.).

Further, since the outdoor fan motor shares its power source with the compressor, in a system in which the current flowing through the compressor and the current flowing through the outdoor fan motor are simultaneously detected by one current detector, the fan motor is It is not possible to identify the current of the data. This is because the current flowing through the outdoor fan motor is too weak for the compressor.

Therefore, in the abnormality detecting method for the outdoor fan motor of the air conditioner according to the present invention, the abnormality of the outdoor fan motor connected to the power supply circuit of the compressor, that is, sharing the power supply with the compressor. When detecting the above, the fan motor is started a predetermined time ahead of the compressor, and the current flowing through the fan motor is detected by the current detector of the power supply circuit.

As described above, the start timings of the compressor and the outdoor fan motor are intentionally shifted, and the current flowing through the outdoor fan motor is detected, so that even with a single current detector, the influence of the compressor can be eliminated. -It is possible to easily detect only the current flowing through the controller. By comparing the detected current value with the current value when the outdoor fan motor is normal, it is possible to reliably detect an abnormality such as disconnection of the connector or motor lock.

FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing the internal structure of the control circuit 8. The control circuit 8 includes a fan relay control circuit 10 for controlling ON / OFF of the relay 7 of the outdoor fan motor 3 based on an operation command from a control panel (not shown) provided in the indoor unit, and a relay 7. After turning ON, the timer circuit 11 for starting the compressor 2 is provided by shifting the timing by a predetermined time t D (refer to FIG. 3 for the starting sequence of the compressor 2 and the outdoor fan motor 3). The timer circuit 11 includes an inverter control circuit 14 via an abnormality determination circuit 13 that determines an abnormality of the compressor 2 and the outdoor fan motor 3 based on the current detection value of the current detection circuit 12 connected to the current detector 1.
It is connected to the. The abnormality discriminating circuit 13 is also connected to the fan relay control circuit 10, and as soon as an abnormality of the compressor 2 or the outdoor fan motor 3 is detected, these operations are stopped and the abnormality display circuit 15 is operated to activate the above-mentioned display unit. It is configured to display a sign indicating the occurrence of an abnormality on the display 9.

When the control circuit 8 receives the operation command, it activates the immediate timer circuit 11 (steps 1 and 2). Simultaneously with the Thai master, the fan relay control circuit 10 is activated to turn on relay 7 (step 3). The timer circuit 11 holds the inverter circuit 14 of the compressor 2 in a deactivated state until a preset predetermined time t D has elapsed (step 4). During that time, the abnormality determination circuit 13 reads the current flowing through the outdoor fan motor 3 (step 5). If the detected current value I is larger than the upper limit value I 1 when the fan motor is normal, the fan relay control circuit. 10
When the relay 7 is turned off, the sign indicating that the fan is locked is displayed on the display 9 at the same time (steps 6, 7 and 8), and the detected current value I is the lower limit value when the fan motor is normal. If it is smaller than I 2 , relay 7 is OF
Simultaneously with setting to F, a sign indicating that the fan circuit is in the disconnection state (disconnection of the connector 4 etc.) is output on the display unit 9 (steps 6, 9, 10, 11). Then, the abnormality determination circuit 13 determines that the detected current value I is within the normal range (I 2 <I <I
Only in the case of 1 ), the inverter 14 is started and the normal operation control is started (steps 6, 9, 12, 13). The operation control after step 13 and the abnormality detection operation of the compressor 2 are performed in the same manner as in the conventional air conditioner.
