積で、帯状シート材料の側端に沿つた領域を重ね
しろ1として残して設ける。このように設ける凹
凸模様2は、化粧防水シート10の美感、意匠性
および立体感を高めるものであるのは当然である
が、このような凹凸模様2を設けない領域は、第
4図示の如くこの化粧防水シート10を用いて傾
斜屋根等を被覆する場合に、隣接する化粧防水シ
ートとの重ねしろとなるものである。この重ねし
ろ1の領域は隣接する化粧防水シートと接着ある
いは融着される領域でもあり、この重ねしろ1の
部分は、凹凸模様2と表面と水平でもよいが、水
平であると第4図示の如く重ね合わせた時にこの
化粧防水シートの厚み分だけ重ね合せ部分が高く
なる。この重ね合せ部分の高さを少なくすること
が望ましい場合には、第3図示の如く、重ねしろ
1部分の厚みを凹凸模様2部分の厚みより薄くす

法によつても形成することができ、好ましい1例
は任意の形状の凸部を設けたエンボスロールによ
り帯状シート材料に型押しすることによつて任意
の深さの凹部2aを有する凹凸模様2が容易に形
成される。このような型押しによる凹凸模様2の
形成に際しては、エンボスロールの凸部に印刷イ
ンキを付着させて型押しを行う谷染印刷方法も利
用でき、このような谷染印刷方法によつて、形成
される凹凸模様2の凹部2aの底部に帯状シート
材料の色相とは異なる色相を付与することによつ
て、更に意匠性や立体感が向上した化粧防水シー
トが提供される。勿論、このような着色は谷染印
刷法に限定されず、いずれの着色方法でもよいも
のであり、また凹部2aと凸部2bの色相が異な
るのであれば、凹部2aはそのままで凸部2bの
表面に着色してもよいのは当然である。更にこの
ように形成された凹凸模様2は、第1図および第
4図示の如く化粧防水シート10の長さ方向に垂
直な太線4によつて適当な長さに区画することに
よつて、化粧防水シートの意匠性や美感が一層向
