B. Conventional technology Conventionally, in order to facilitate radar visibility from a navigating vessel, three orthogonal beams were placed on small vessels or light buoys, etc.
A corner reflector body made of a flat surface, or a radar reflector made by combining these bodies, such as a radar reflector made of three circular single plates assembled orthogonally, has been used and has been used with great success. All of these were assembled in three-dimensional precision at a factory.

C. Problems that the invention aims to solve However, when ships, fishing boats, etc. are in distress (about 2,000 vessels are in distress around Japan every year, and hundreds of people are dead or missing), lifeboats and life rafts are needed. Alternatively, people can escape using collapsible liferafts, but it is necessary to quickly find and rescue people in distress. To this end, these life rafts can be equipped with radar reflectors to make them easier to see on the radar of search and rescue ships. It is built-in, and there is no space to accommodate the assembled radar reflector. Also, the impact of landing in distress should not damage these built-in devices. Therefore, the radar reflectors installed in these devices must: (1) be able to be folded flat and be stored in an extremely small volume and compact;

D. Means for Solving the Problems FIG. 1 is a front view of a radar reflector after assembly showing one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a plan view thereof. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a circular first plate material that is not as hard as a metal plate such as a resin-treated thick plate with aluminum foil pasted on its surface, corrugated paper, or a resin plate, but is sufficiently rigid and water resistant. Reference numeral 2 denotes a semicircular second plate member whose straight edges are connected to the same position on the diameter 1' line on both sides of the circular first plate member 1 so as to be able to rise and fall. 3
is a quarter-circular third plate member, one side of which is connected to a line with a diameter of 1″ perpendicular to the diameter 1′ of the circular first plate member 1 so that it can be raised and lowered.

Figure 3 is a detailed diagram showing the A-A view of Figure 1.
This shows how a semicircular second plate 2 is connected to a circular first plate 1, and the straight edge of the second plate 2 has a narrow constriction 4 at a distance of the plate thickness from the edge. It has a bendable and flexible hinge shape, and the end of the straight part is bonded to the surface of the circular first plate 1. Therefore, the semicircular second
When the board 2 is folded down, it can be stacked on top of the board 3. If the plate material 3 is extremely thin, a joint similar to that shown in FIG. 4, which will be described later, may be used.

In case of an emergency, to act as a radar reflector, by pulling the string 10 in both directions, the semicircular second plate 2 will stand up, and then the quarter-circular third plate will be attached on both sides. When the plate 3 stands up and is further pulled, the edge of the third plate 3 engages with the locking means such as the small protrusion 8, and the first plate 1, second plate 2,
The third plates 3 are assembled in a manner that they are fixed at right angles to each other, and function as a radar reflector.

F. Effects of the invention As configured as described above, the radar reflector of the invention has a quarter-circular third plate 3 and a semicircular second plate 2 on both sides of the circular first plate 1. It can be folded into a small flat circular volume with a thin thickness, and can be stored in the small volume of a folded inflatable life raft. In addition, it is lightweight as a plate material, and is not sharp like metal.
Because it is made of a rigid resin material, it will not be deformed or damaged by the impact of landing in the water, will not damage the life raft or lifesaving equipment, and will not injure people during assembly.
