The difference between the curved path and the straight path of the step chain 12 (see FIG. 6).
Value of Z shown in FIG. 7 and FIG. 8 (Z = X + Y)
Is not always constant, but changes a little. That is, roller C X
When is moved at a constant speed, the roller C Y moves while changing the speed. Especially on escalator with landing,
Since there is a curved portion in the middle of the main frame 1, there is a difference between the step chain speed on the upper floor side and the step chain speed on the lower floor side of the landing 1D, and the upper sprocket 3 and lower sprocket 4 and the step chain 12 are separated. Since it may affect the meshing, the amount of change in the value of Z was calculated and the following conclusions were obtained (see FIG. 9).

This is 0.86, and in the worst case, a total difference of 1.7 mm or more occurs. Based on the upper sprocket 3 on the upper floor side, on the lower floor side, the lower sprocket 4 and the step chain 1
A gap of 2 is generated by 1.7 mm, and the lower sprocket 4 on the lower floor side is shaken by 1.7 mm.

The pulsation (creaking) of the step chain 12 is reliably performed in the cycle of c.
Is to occur.

It is provided with a plurality of steps arranged endlessly to guide the wheels of the step shaft to the step rail, and an endless step chain connected to the step shaft of this step, and moreover, at least inside the main frame of the step rail. It is characterized in that an arc-shaped chain guide for supporting and guiding the step chains located in all the sections except the lowermost curved section in the curved section on the outward path in a curved state is arranged.

In the drawings, 13 is a chain guide according to the present invention, and this chain guide 13 is a synthetic resin having self-lubricating property. Is formed in an arc shape and is detachably screwed to a support member 15 via a bolt 14, and the support member 15 is attached to a bracket 16. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the chain guides 13 are respectively arranged on the outward bend portion of the step rail 7 in the landing 1D and the outward bend portion of the step rail 7 in the inclined portion 1C near the upper machine room 1A. Therefore, the step chain 1 is slidably superposed on the rollers of the step chain 12 moving in the curved section of the step rail 7, and the step chain 1 moving in the curved section.
It has a function of guiding 2 in an arc shape (see FIG. 4).
In addition, of the outward bend of the step rail 7, the lower machine room 1B
The chain guide 13 is attached to the curved portion located at the bottom of the side.
Is not placed. This is because passengers do not get on the lower side of the bent portion located at the bottom.

なる。According to the above structure, the step chain 12 in the curved section moves in the curved state by the chain guide 13 in the same manner as the step rail 7 in the curved section exhibits the curved state. It is possible to prevent 12 pulsations and significantly improve passenger comfort from the lower floor to the landing 1D. Further, by using the chain guide 13, the curvature of the step rail 7 can be freely selected, and the space of the escalator can be saved. Also,
Since the chain guide 13 is made of a self-lubricating synthetic resin, it is possible to improve low wear resistance.

Since the arc-shaped chain guide for guiding is arranged, it is possible to reliably prevent the pulsation of the step chain, and it is possible to significantly improve the riding comfort of passengers from the lower floor to the landing. Further, by using the chain guide, there is an effect that the curvature of the step rail can be freely selected, and a large space saving of the escalator can be achieved. Further, since the chain guide is made of a self-lubricating synthetic resin, there is an effect that it is possible to remarkably improve low wear resistance.
