The present invention is an electronic device with a clock that is removable from a vehicle's dash board, etc. After the main body of the electronic device frame is removed from the case, the clock is operated by the built-in battery for a predetermined period of time, and after the predetermined period of time has elapsed, the clock is operated. Even if the electronic device is removed from the dash board, the clock function will continue to operate within the specified time, so operations such as setting the time are required each time the electronic device is removed. Instead, the watch stops operating only when it has been removed for a particularly long period of time, thereby avoiding unnecessary wear and tear on the built-in battery.

[Problem that the invention aims to solve] Many of these electronic devices are equipped with a clock, so when the electronic device is removed from its case, the power supply to the clock is also stopped, causing the clock to disappear. stops working. Therefore, when reattaching the needle to the dart board, the time must be set, which is very inconvenient. In addition, if an electronic device has a built-in battery for backing up memory, etc., when the electronic device is removed from the case, power to the watch should be supplied from this built-in battery and the watch should continue to operate. is being carried out, but
The drawback was that the load on the battery increased.

[Means for Solving the Problems] According to the present invention, the above-mentioned problem is solved by the present invention, in which in-vehicle electronic equipment that is removably mounted on a vehicle has a clock unit that outputs time information, and a clock unit that outputs time information, and a , a vehicle-side power supply unit that is connected to a vehicle-side power source and supplies power to the clock unit; a built-in battery that supplies power to the clock unit when disconnected; and an insertion/removal detection unit that detects insertion/removal of a device into/from the vehicle. means, a power cutoff unit that cuts off power supply from the built-in battery to the clock unit; and when detachment of the device is detected by the insertion/removal detection unit, a power supply source to the clock unit is supplied to the vehicle side. The problem is solved by providing a control unit that switches the power source to the built-in battery, sets a predetermined time, and operates the power cutoff unit when the device is not attached to the vehicle within the predetermined time.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram of essential parts showing an embodiment of the vehicle-mounted electronic device main body 14 according to the present invention. In the figure, the power supplied from the connector 13 of the case 12 to the power supply terminal 1 is connected to the power supply circuit 2, as well as to the connection terminal of the switch 4 and the input terminal of the microcomputer 5. The power supply circuit 2 converts the power supplied to the power supply terminal 1 into a voltage required within the electronic device main body 14 and applies the voltage to the switch 4.
Connect to one fixed contact of the Electronic device body 14
A built-in battery 3 is provided inside the switch 4, and the built-in battery 3 is connected to the other fixed contact of the switch 4. A movable contact of the switch 4 is connected to a power terminal of a microcomputer 5, and is also connected to a watch 7 via a switch 6. The microcomputer 5 receives signals from the operating section 8 provided on the front panel of the electronic device main body 14, receives time information from the clock 7, and applies control signals to the switch 6.

The operation of the above configuration will be explained. Normally, the power supply supplied through the connector 13 of the case 12 is used, so the switch 4 is connected to the power supply circuit 2 side as shown in the figure. Next, when the electronic device main body 14 is removed from the case 12, the connector 13,
15 comes off, the power supply stops, and the voltage at the power supply terminal 1 drops. Then, the switch 4 is switched to the battery 3 side, and power is supplied from the switch 4 to the microcomputer 5, the clock 7, and some of the circuits not shown in the drawings, such as the memory in the electronic device body 14, as before. It will be done. The microcomputer 5 monitors the elapsed time from this time using a counter, and turns off the switch 6 to cut off the power supplied to the clock 7 after a certain period of time from when the connector was disconnected. If the connector 1 is reconnected before the predetermined time has elapsed since the connector was disconnected, time monitoring is stopped and the counter is cleared.

Therefore, if the above-mentioned fixed time is set to, for example, three days, the timer function will not stop if the electronic device body 14 is taken out of the car for less than three days, and the time will be displayed when the electronic device body 14 is returned to the case 12. There is no need for alignment and it is easy to operate. Also, if the watch is not used for a long period of time (3 days or more), the power supply to the watch will be automatically stopped, reducing the load on the built-in battery.
Power is only supplied to important circuits such as the microcomputer and memory within the circuit being used, reducing current consumption.

It is now assumed that the electronic device main body 14 is operating normally within the case 12, and in this case, the microcomputer 5 monitors whether the connector 15 is disconnected or not. There is no change in operation unless the connector 15 is removed, but when the connector 15 is removed, measurement of the elapsed time is started (b) and a check is made to see if the elapsed time exceeds 3 days (c). If it is within three days, it will be monitored to see if the connector is connected during this time, and if the connector is connected, normal operation will be resumed and measurement of elapsed time will also be stopped. Next, when the elapsed time exceeds 3 days, the power supply to the clock 7 is stopped (d), and then it is checked whether the connector can be connected or not (e). This state is maintained unless the connector is connected, and when the connector is connected, power is supplied to the clock again and the clock returns to its initial state.

As described above, according to the present invention, an in-vehicle electronic device that is removably mounted on a vehicle includes a clock unit that outputs time information, and a clock unit that is connected to a vehicle power source when the device is installed in the vehicle to provide power to the clock unit. a vehicle-side power supply section that supplies power to the clock section when detached from the vehicle; a built-in battery that supplies power to the clock section when detached from the vehicle; an insertion/removal detection means that detects insertion/removal of the device into the vehicle; and power supply from the built-in battery to the clock section. a power supply cutoff unit that cuts off the supply; and when removal of the device is detected by the insertion/removal detection means, switches the power supply source to the clock unit from the vehicle-side supply source to the built-in battery, and switches the power supply source to the built-in battery for a predetermined period of time; and a control unit that activates the power cutoff unit when the device is not attached to the vehicle within the predetermined time, so that when the device is removed from the vehicle, the disconnection period of the device is within the predetermined time. In some cases, the clock is driven by the built-in power source of the device, and the device is removed from the vehicle for a short period of time, freeing the user from the hassle of setting the time when the device is reattached. In addition, if the withdrawal period exceeds a predetermined time, the power supply from the built-in power supply will be cut off.
The load on the built-in power source such as a battery is no longer small, making it possible to extend the life of the battery and improving the storage performance of data such as frequencies stored in the internal memory.
