[Prior art] When a membrane material made by impregnating and firing a thermoplastic resin into a woven fiber fabric is used in buildings and structures, it is necessary to cut the membrane material into various sizes and shapes according to the various designs required. , these are sewn together, glued or fused to form a desired final product. If this product is used in a place where it comes into contact with rainwater, seawater, running water from a river, etc., moisture may seep into the interior of the membrane material from the cut edges along the filament of the woven fiber fabric that is the base material. As a result, the strength of the membrane material decreases, causing a loss in durability. In order to solve this problem, a membrane material has been developed in which the filament of a fiber woven fabric is impregnated with a fiber treatment material such as dimethylsiloxane and dried to make it water-repellent and prevent moisture from penetrating.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, when moisture containing a substance that lowers the surface tension of water, such as a surfactant, comes into contact with the end surface, there is a problem that the effect of preventing moisture penetration cannot be sufficiently exerted. It was hot. Furthermore, a membrane material has been developed in which a thermoplastic resin constituting the membrane material is coated on the end surface portion, dried and fired to seal the end surface and prevent moisture from penetrating.

The present invention was developed in view of the above, and is easy to implement on-site and prevents moisture from penetrating even if moisture containing a surfactant that lowers the surface tension of water comes into contact with the end surface. The present invention provides an edge treatment membrane material that can reliably exhibit its effects.

[Function] The edge-treated membrane material according to the present invention has a structure in which a cyanoacrylate adhesive is applied, so that the cyanoacrylate adhesive is applied along the filaments of the woven fabric constituting the membrane material. It penetrates millimeters, reacts with the trace amount of water present in the membrane material, and rapidly hardens, completely sealing the gaps between filaments and lowering the surface tension of ordinary water and water such as surfactants. It reliably exhibits the effect of preventing moisture from penetrating the membrane containing substances that cause it, and the time required to treat the end face is short, and furthermore, it is easy to implement on-site even if the membrane material has a complicated shape.

[Example] Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be described. 1st
The figure is a partially cutaway plan view of an end face treatment membrane material according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the main part taken along the line - in FIG. 1. A fiber fabric made of glass cloth 3 impregnated with dimethylsiloxane and dried is impregnated with tetrafluoroethylene resin 2 and fired to obtain a thickness.
Make membrane material 1 of 0.25mm, width 2500mm, and length 100m,
The membrane material was cut to make two pieces of 100 mm x 100 mm. A commercially available cyanoacrylate adhesive 4 and Aron Alpha manufactured by Toagosei Co., Ltd. are applied to the four cut surfaces of the membrane material piece, and the adhesive is cured to produce two edge-treated membrane materials of the present invention, one of which is distilled. When the weight change was examined after being immersed in water for 30 days, almost no change was observed. Also, put the other one in 5% soapy water.
When the weight change was examined after immersion for one day, almost no change was observed. Furthermore, no contamination due to dipping was observed in the appearance after dipping in both methods.

On the other hand, in order to compare with the example, a membrane material made in the same manner as the example was cut to a size of 100 mm x 100 mm.
I made two pieces of membrane material. Two pieces of edge-treated membrane material were made by impregnating the four cut surfaces of the membrane piece with tetrafluoroethylene resin and firing it, and after immersing one piece in distilled water for 30 days, the change in weight was examined, and there was almost no change. I couldn't see it. After soaking the other sheet in 5% soapy water for 15 days, the change in weight was examined and a weight increase of 3% was found.

In addition, for further comparison, a membrane material made in the same manner as in the example was cut to obtain a 100 mm x 100 mm membrane material piece 2.
I made one. No treatment was applied to the four cut surfaces of the membrane material. After soaking this piece in distilled water for 30 days,
When the change in weight was examined, there was a 3% increase in weight. The other sheet was immersed in 5% soapy water for 15 days, and when the change in weight was examined, it was found to have increased by 7%. Furthermore, in terms of appearance after immersion, contaminated areas were observed in both cases.
