It is supported in a suitable position on the back surface so as to be able to pivot around an axis substantially perpendicular to the surface of the iron lid, and by its rotation, it engages with the engaged portion and engages the locking position located below the projecting edge. A pivoting member having an engaging portion that can assume a mating portion and an unlocked position disengaged from the lower side of the projecting edge, and a key inserted through a key insertion hole provided through the iron lid to open the pivoting member. A locking device for an iron lid consisting of a key engaging part provided on a rotating member for rotating operation.
