貫通口により循環空気の流通路が確保されるので、オー
プンショーケースは従来通りの冷却能力で動作し、循環
空気は通風路中を循環し吹出口から開口部に吹き出し冷
気エアカーテンを形成して収納用空間内の商品を冷却す
る。しかるに夜間には、売れ残った商品は同じオープン
ショーケースの例えばデッキ板の上などの収納用空間の
最下段の棚よりも下位位置の限定された部分に集積す
る。一方、カバー体を引き出して通風路を塞ぎ、しかも
側部開口を開口して循環空気をこの側部開口から吹き出
させることで、循環空気の循環範囲を最下段の棚よりも
下部に限定する。冷却器は限定された循環空気の循環範
囲に相応した弱い冷却能力で運転されるが、循環空気は
収納用空間の限定された部分のみを通流するので、売れ
残った商品は効率良く冷却されることとなる。これらに
より、売れ残った商品の冷却保存に際して、商品は同一
のオープンショーケース内の例えばデッキ板の上に集積
するだけで済むので手間を要せず、かつ冷却器は弱い冷
却能力での運転で済むこととなり電力消費量が低減でき
るという効果を奏する。

よりも下位位置に側部開口を設け、しかもこの側部開口
から収納用空間に引出されて前記循環空気の循環範囲を
この側部開口より下部に限定するカバー体を備えること
を特徴とする冷気循環式オープンショーケース。
