The present invention relates to a nasal administration adapter for a sprayer, which is used by inserting a cylindrical part into the nasal cavity. When treating excessive nasal secretion due to acute rhinitis, nasal hypersensitivity (allergic or vasomotor rhinitis), etc.
Spray preparations for nasal administration are known, which contain an anticholinergic drug as the main drug and use a sprayer that inserts a cylindrical part into the nasal cavity and sprays the drug for administration. However, in the conventional adapter for nasal administration for a sprayer, the pressurized spray liquid in the container is sprayed directly onto the nasal mucosa from the spray opening. Therefore, there was a problem in that it gave a strong sense of irritation to the nasal mucosa and was difficult to use for patients whose nasal mucosa was sensitive to irritation. The object of the present invention is to provide an adapter for nasal administration for a sprayer that improves the above-mentioned problems. For example, in perfume atomizers and the like, a mechanical break-up having a spray force damping means has been installed in order to mildly spray the perfume. However, there has been no known example of using such a mechanical breakup in a nasal sprayer having a cylindrical portion as in the present invention. Therefore, the inventors of the present invention attempted to reduce the irritation to the nasal mucosa described above by using such a mechanical breakup in a nasal administration adapter for a nebulizer, and found that it was sufficiently effective in terms of reducing irritation. However, even though it is desirable to have the spray liquid adhere to the deeper part of the nasal mucosa than the inferior nasal meatus and inferior nasal turbinate where the glands that secrete nasal secretions exist, In this respect, it could still not be said to be sufficient. Therefore, the present invention was arrived at as a result of intensive study on the length of the cylindrical portion of the adapter. That is, the present invention provides a synthetic resin adapter for nasal administration for a nebulizer, which is used by inserting the cylindrical part 1 into the nasal cavity.
A mechanical breakup 2 having a jetting force buffering means is provided, and the length from the spray port 2' of the mechanical breakup 2 to the tip of the cylindrical portion 1 is in the range of 3 mm to 15 mm. This is what I did. Hereinafter, an embodiment of the adapter for nasal administration for a sprayer according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a sectional view showing an embodiment of the nasal administration adapter for a sprayer of the present invention. The adapter in this embodiment is made of polyethylene, for example, and has a mechanical breakup 2 having a jetting force buffering means fixed to its jetting port. As the mechanical break-up having a spray force buffering means 2, a mechanical break-up which is normally used for softening the spray force in a perfume atomizer, for example, can be appropriately selected and used. Such a mechanical breakup is, for example, molded from polyacetal. In the present invention, the cylinder is arranged such that the length from the spray nozzle 2' provided at the center of the mechanical breakup 2 to the tip of the cylinder part 1 of the adapter is in the range of 3 to 15 mm. form a shaped part. This length is preferably between 5 and 10 mm. In the adapter for nasal administration for a nebulizer of the present invention, the size of the adapter, such as the inner diameter of the part that fits with the valve inside the adapter and the part that fits with the container, depends on the size of the adapter and the size of the spray liquid storage container. can be formed arbitrarily. Further, a cap can be attached to the cylindrical portion of the adapter to prevent dust from adhering during storage. Effects of the invention In the adapter of the present invention and the conventional adapter which is not provided with a mechanical break-up having a jetting force buffering means, the lengths of the cylindrical portions are each as shown in Table 1 below, and Atrovent Interviews were conducted with 10 volunteers regarding the irritation caused to the nasal mucosa by a single spray and the site of adhesion. The attachment site was investigated based on the feeling of attachment deeper than the external nostril, nasal vestibule, inferior nasal meatus, and inferior nasal turbinate. In addition, the state of adhesion to the inner surface of the cylindrical portion was investigated, and the results are shown in Table 1.

[Table] From Table 1, in the case of the adapter of the present invention,
The irritation of the nasal mucosa caused by the spray is greatly reduced, and by adjusting the length of the cylindrical part, it can be applied to the nasal mucosa, especially deeper than the inferior nasal meatus and inferior nasal turbinates, without adhering to the inner surface of the cylindrical part. It can be seen that the adhesion was achieved.
