2. Description of the Related Art An antenna band for a conventional wristwatch type radio is formed by integrally forming an antenna plate made of an insulating synthetic resin such as polyurethane rubber or silicon rubber and stainless steel which is difficult to oxidize. Built in. A clasp is provided at the end of the band on the 12 side when viewed from the dial, and is in conduction with the antenna plate. The exposed part of the antenna for conducting with Nakadome is opened at equal intervals on the human body contact surface of the 6 o'clock side band, and even if the length of the band is changed by sliding Nakadome, conduction between the antenna and Nakadome is achieved. Can be taken. The pair of bands is used to construct a loop antenna through a conductive clasp.

Metals, leather, and synthetic resins are generally used as materials for wristwatch bands, but in consideration of the marketability, a high-class feeling, a degree of freedom in design, and a fit property and strength. In terms of the above, the metal band has excellent characteristics. In the prior art, as mentioned above, only the synthetic resin band was used. As a method of realizing a metallic band antenna, it is considered that the band and the antenna are formed of the same conductor, or that the antenna plate is covered with a synthetic resin and the synthetic resin is covered with a metal. The antenna efficiency η of the loop antenna is the radiation resistance Rr and the loss resistance Rl.
It is known from oss that it is expressed by the following equation.

Η = Rr / (Rr + Rloss) (1) Further, it is known that Rloss is expressed by the following equation by the specific resistance ρ of the antenna material, the effective area S of the antenna plate and the perimeter l of the loop antenna. .

Rloss = ρl / S (2) Therefore, it is necessary to keep Rloss constant in order not to reduce the antenna efficiency. If the perimeter of the antenna material and the band is constant, the effective area of the antenna plate cannot be changed from equation (2) in order to maintain the antenna efficiency. Therefore, since the length of the antenna plate is constant, the width cannot be changed. If the band and the antenna are formed of the same conductor and the above-mentioned conditions are satisfied, the metal band becomes a flat plate and the degree of freedom in design is impaired. Also, when the antenna plate is covered with metal, it is necessary to satisfy the conditions for inducing a voltage in the built-in antenna.

In order to meet the above-mentioned problem of a metal band antenna capable of maintaining the antenna efficiency, the metal band antenna of the present invention has a metal band portion so that the antenna and a positive electrode of a power source are not electrically connected. The magnetic flux and the loop antenna are designed to intersect each other by providing an insulating portion between the antenna and the antenna or between the positive electrode of the power source and the metal band portion. Furthermore, since the antenna part and the metal band part have different structures, and the antenna is inserted inside the metal band, the width of the antenna plate required to obtain the known antenna efficiency is secured, and then the metal part We also ensure the freedom of band design.

With the above structure of the present invention, the sensitivity is obtained by the combination of the connecting method of the loop antenna formed of two conductive thin plates through the conductive clasp and the conductor formed on the surface of the synthetic resin. FIG. 8 shows an example of the relationship of The same radio was used for the experiments, and bands of the same length were used. In the figure, 19 is the sensitivity of a radio device using a band antenna in which an antenna plate according to the related art is inside a synthetic resin.

Reference numeral 20 denotes the sensitivity of a radio device using a band antenna in which the antenna part and the metal band part are electrically connected to each other and the metal band part and the positive electrode of the power source are insulated. 21 is the sensitivity of the radio using a band antenna in which the metal band part is insulated from both the antenna and the positive electrode of the power supply.

Reference numeral 22 indicates the sensitivity of a radio device using a band antenna that insulates between the antenna and the metal band portion and conducts between the metal band portion and the positive electrode of the power supply. Reference numeral 23 is the sensitivity of the radio device using the antenna band in which the antenna and the positive electrode of the power source are conducted through the metal band part. The above sensitivities are shown by frequency characteristic examples. The sensitivity 20 of the wireless device using the band antenna in which the metal band part is insulated from the positive electrode of the power source and the sensitivity 21 of the wireless device using the band antenna in which the metal band part is insulated from both the antenna and the positive electrode of the power source are the loop antenna. Since the insulating portion is provided so that the magnetic fluxes can cross each other, there is no difference in terms of the sensitivity 19 and the antenna efficiency of the radio device using the band antenna of the prior art having no metal band portion.
Therefore, the sensitivities of the 19, 20, and 21 radios have the same value. Similarly, the sensitivities 22 and 19 of the radio equipment using the band antenna in which the antenna and the metal band part are insulated are considered to have the same antenna efficiency, but in the experiment, 22 is 1
A sensitivity of 1.5 dB better than 9 was obtained. The sensitivity 23 of the wireless device using the antenna band in which the antenna and the positive electrode of the power supply are conducted through the metal band portion prevents the magnetic flux from crossing the loop antenna and lowers the antenna efficiency, so that it is about 19 or less. It became a poor sensitivity of 10 dB.
