【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 熱ローラ定着装置の排紙側の装置端部に
位置するヒンジにより開閉可能に枢着された上下ユニッ
トより成る画像形成装置の定着後の用紙搬送路の上記上
ユニット内の部分が上ユニット外装カバーの内面に形成
された第1ガイド部と、上ユニットの機枠に取付けられ
た排紙ユニットに形成され、上記の第1ガイド部のガイ
ド面と間隔を置いて対置されたガイド面を有する第2ガ
イド部とにより構成されている用紙搬送装置において、 上記の排紙ユニットに上記第2ガイド部の上ユニット内
の部分に円滑に接続され上下ユニットの閉鎖状態でその
一部が熱ローラ定着装置の内部に入り込み、下ユニット
に設けられた下側ガイド部と共働して定着後の用紙の上
ユニット内の搬送路迄の用紙搬送路を形成し上下ユニッ
トの開放状態で上記下側ガイド部より離間し、その先端
が定着装置内より退避する部分を設けたことを特徴とす
る用紙搬送装置。
