(Prior Art) A conventional water heater has a heat exchanger consisting of an endothermic tube and an endothermic fin surrounding the endothermic tube, and a burner that heats the heat exchanger, inside the main body of the water heater, which has an exhaust port on the front side. There is a type that houses a built-in combustion case. For example, according to Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 58-77235, a burner is disposed on the lower side of the combustion case, a heat exchanger is provided above the burner, and the combustion exhaust from the burner is It is known that an exhaust duct is installed above the heat exchanger to allow the combustion exhaust gas to pass from below to above the heat exchanger and to guide the passed combustion exhaust gas to the exhaust port of the water heater main body.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In the above conventional water heater, the exhaust duct that guides the combustion exhaust gas that has passed through the heat exchanger to the exhaust port is installed above the heat exchanger. A space had to be provided above for the exhaust duct, which caused the problem that the height of the water heater body became high.

According to Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 52-21051, a body with an internal space as a combustion chamber is provided above the burner, and the upper part of the body is opened toward the exhaust port on the front of the water heater body. There is a known water heater in which a flat heat exchanger is detachably attached in an upright position, but in this type of water heater the lower part of the heat-absorbing fins of the heat exchanger is attached so as to face the top surface of the burner. Compared to conventional heat exchangers, the combustion exhaust flows unevenly to the upper part of the heat exchanger, resulting in poor heat exchange efficiency. Also, Mikiakiaki
According to Publication No. 55-130159, there is provided a bathtub housing a combustion case containing a gas burner and a heat exchanger,
It is known that a space is provided above the heat exchanger and an exhaust duct is connected to the space so as to discharge combustion exhaust in a direction perpendicular to the heat absorption fins of the heat exchanger. If the upper part of the fins is brought close to the ceiling of the combustion cabinet, the mutual gap between the heat-absorbing fins will be blocked by the ceiling, preventing combustion exhaust from flowing into the exhaust duct, which will only reduce the heat exchange efficiency in the heat exchanger. Otherwise, the combustion itself of the burner cannot be ensured, and the space provided above the heat exchanger cannot be abolished.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a heat exchanger consisting of an endothermic tube and an endothermic fin around the heat absorbing tube, and a heat exchanger that is installed in the main body of the water heater having an exhaust port on the front. A combustion housing containing a burner for heating the exchanger is housed, and a plurality of the heat absorption fins are arranged vertically in the width direction of the water heater body so as to be perpendicular to the opening surface of the exhaust port, The lower part of the heat-absorbing fin faces the upper surface of the burner, and the exhaust port is provided to face the heat-absorbing fin in the upper front half of the heat exchanger, and the exhaust port is connected from the upper front half of the heat exchanger to the exhaust port. It is characterized by the provision of an exhaust duct that guides the combustion exhaust forward.

(Function) When the heat absorbing fins are installed perpendicular to the opening surface of the exhaust port, the mutual gap between the heat absorbing fins can be filled by attaching the exhaust duct to the upper half of the front of the heat exchanger and passing it through the exhaust duct. Since the heat exchanger is connected to the exhaust port, the combustion exhaust gas can be smoothly discharged without having to provide a space above the heat exchanger, which is conventionally provided to collect the combustion exhaust gas that has passed through the heat exchanger. The space above the heat exchanger can be eliminated as much as possible.

In addition, since the lower side of the heat absorbing fin is opposed to the upper surface of the burner, the combustion exhaust flows along the entire surface of the heat absorbing fin, so that the heat exchange efficiency does not decrease.

To explain the above configuration in detail, the exhaust port 3 is provided facing the heat absorption fins 5 on the upper half of the front surface of the heat exchanger 6, and the heat absorption fins 5 are located on the front surface which is the opening surface of the exhaust port 3. A plurality of heat absorbing fins 5 are arranged in the width direction of the water heater body 1 at right angles to the
The lower portion 61 of the burner 7 is vertically disposed so as to face the upper surface of the burner 7. Further, a portion of the front surface of the combustion case 8 corresponding to the heat absorption fins 5 in the upper half of the front surface of the heat exchanger 6 is opened, and an exhaust duct 81 is horizontally extended forward from this opening portion.
1 facing the exhaust port 3. As a result, the mutual gap between each of the heat absorbing fins 5 becomes the exhaust duct 81.
It communicates with the exhaust port 3 via. Therefore, since the lower part of the heat-absorbing fin 5 faces the burner 7, the combustion exhaust gas uniformly flows into the heat exchanger 6, and the combustion exhaust gas is not concentrated in one part. The inflowing combustion exhaust gas is smoothly discharged to the exhaust port 3 via the exhaust duct 81.
The amount of combustion exhaust gas passing through the heat exchanger 6 can be increased, and therefore the heat exchange efficiency in the heat exchanger 6 can be increased.

As a result, the combustion exhaust gas flowing from the lower side of the heat exchanger 6 is transferred to the heat absorption fins 5 and the heat absorption pipes 4 within the heat exchanger 6.
After the heat is transferred to the water heater body 1, the heat is not discharged upward but is guided forward from the exhaust duct 81 provided in the upper half of the front face to the exhaust port 3.
It is discharged outside.

In this embodiment, the exhaust duct 8 of the heat absorption fin 5
The portion 62 facing the heat exchanger 6 extends to be inserted into the exhaust duct 81, thereby expanding the heat receiving area of the heat absorption fin 5, improving the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger 6, and increasing the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger 6. It is possible to reduce the amount of combustion exhaust that comes into contact with the inner wall of the exhaust duct 81, prevent drainage from forming on the inner wall, and prevent the exhaust duct 81 from corroding.

(Effects of the invention) Since the space above the heat exchanger can be eliminated as much as possible, the height of the water heater can be reduced by the space that was conventionally provided above the heat exchanger. . In addition, since the combustion exhaust gas flows uniformly along the front surface of the heat-absorbing fins of the heat exchanger, the heat exchange efficiency does not decrease.
