〔考案が解決しようとする問題点〕 したがつて従来の構造の活字シートでは、プリ
ンタをさらに小型化する為に活字の行ピツチを短
縮したり、プリンタを大きくせずに活字数を増や
して表現能力を向上させる為に活字の行ピツチを
短縮して活字の集積度を向上させた場合、活字シ
ート1の形状は第4図の様になるが、活字ピツチ
が短縮されたことによつて印字の際に伸びるシー
ト部1eの面積が減少し、伸び量も減少する。し
たがつて各活字部間のシート部の張力が増加する
為、例えば第4図において奇数の“1”(活字8,
9,10)を印字すると、活字部間のシート部の
張力によつて偶数の“0”,“1”(活字11,1
2,13,14)も巻装時の行方向の張力に抗し
て同時に突出し、第5図の様に印字紙5に接触し
て印字汚れが発生してしまう。

字シート受けの内部に設けられ活字基台を突出さ
せて印字を行う印字ハンマー機構とを有し、活字
シートには活字基台の桁方向の両側に活字基台と
略同等の長さのスリツトが配置されたことを特徴
とするものである。

印字紙に接触して印字汚れが発生するということ
が無くなる。

スリツト6が複数設けられていて、さらに活字部
1aの行ピツチが短縮されて活字の集積度が向上
している。この活字シート1を第2図に示すよう
に活字シート受け2の穴部2aと突起部1dを嵌
合させ、さらにシート部1eの行方向に張力を与
えた状態で巻装させて活字ドラムユニツト3を形
成し、活字ドラムユニツト内部に配置された印字
ハンマ4によつて突起部1dを押し出して印字を
行う構造となつている。そして第3図が最も印字
汚れが発生し易い印字パターンの印字状態を示し
た図であり、同一行内の隣り合つた2文字以上の
“1”(第1図の活字8,9,10)を印字した場
合であるが、桁方向の活字部間のシート部1eに
スリツト6が設けられている為、活字部相互に作
用するシート部1eの張力(第1図の活字8−1
1,8−13,9−11,9−13,9−12,
9−14,10−12,10−14間の張力)が
低減され、印字した活字の隣接行の活字(第1図
の活字11,12,13,14)が張力によつて
突出して印字紙5に接触するということが無くな
るので印字汚れが防止できる。
