Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a continuous casting immersion nozzle having excellent corrosion resistance, spall resistance and alumina adhesion resistance. An immersion nozzle for continuous casting is attached to a lower end of a sliding nozzle attached to a bottom wall of a tundish in order to control a flow rate of molten steel from a tundish to a mold, and also into a mold. It is an important nozzle used for non-oxidative casting of molten steel. However, severe physical wear due to molten steel, melting loss due to chemical erosion, etc., thermal spalling due to rapid heat generation, and further, depending on the composition of molten steel, a clogging phenomenon of a nozzle inner hole occurs. Therefore, the selection of the material is extremely important. That is, smooth casting of molten steel,
And to obtain good quality, corrosion resistance, spalling resistance,
Alumina resistance is required. Conventionally, as a material for the immersion nozzle, in order to prevent leakage of molten steel, have high thermal conductivity, and improve corrosion resistance and spall resistance, graphite-containing various graphite-based oxide-based materials are used. Refractories were used. For example, graphite-Al 2 O 3 system, graphite-ZrO
2 system and graphite-MgO system. Further, a measure to prevent the oxidation of graphite by adding a carbide-based material such as SiC or B 4 C has been taken. In order to prevent oxidation and increase the strength of this graphite, a metal-based material such as Si may be added. However, since graphite is used in any of the above graphite-oxide type refractories, it is possible to prevent oxidation, which is the greatest bottleneck. I can't do that. However, if a carbide type, for example B 4 C, or a metal type, for example Si type is used, it is quite effective in preventing the oxidation of graphite, but on the contrary, the heat-resistant spalling property is greatly reduced, Even if the thermal conductivity, which is a characteristic of graphite, is improved, thermal spalling occurs due to local thermal strain. In addition, for steel types that are difficult to elute carbon, graphite-oxide refractory cannot be used, so BN
-Oxide system may be used, but it is difficult to use due to low thermal spalling. Further, for aluminum-killed steel in which oxygen in the steel has been killed by metal Al, alumina often precipitates and accumulates in the nozzle inner hole to cause blockage of the inner hole. In the worst case, casting becomes impossible. There is. For such problems, graphite-Zr using CaO, which has high reactivity with alumina, is used.
In many cases, O 2 —CaO refractory is used, but Al 2 O 3 is deteriorated due to deterioration of surface smoothness due to elution of graphite into steel.
Physical accumulation of the above is regarded as a problem. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a steel type which is excellent in wear resistance, corrosion resistance, spall resistance, and alumina adhesion resistance and which is difficult to elute graphite, that is, for molten steel of any composition. It is to provide a dipping nozzle for continuous casting that can be applied. The present invention relates to a dipping nozzle used for injecting molten steel from a tundish into a mold, wherein ZrO 2 ; 5-80 wt% Mo; 95-20 wt. It is characterized by being composed of%. The immersion nozzle for continuous casting which is excellent in wear resistance, corrosion resistance, spalling resistance and alumina adhesion resistance of the present invention will be described in more detail below. In the present invention, the immersion nozzle is set to ZrO.
It is composed of a composite refractory material of 2 (zirconia) and Mo (molybdenum) for the following reason. That is, ZrO
Since 2 is a ceramic material, it has excellent heat resistance and erosion resistance. On the other hand, Mo is a metallic material, so it has excellent heat resistance and spalling resistance. Therefore, the immersion nozzle made of a refractory material that is a composite of these has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and spalling resistance. Regarding the adhesion resistance, both ZrO 2 and Mo are less likely to bond with alumina, and show good resistance. The above-mentioned dipping nozzle uses metallic Mo powder and ZrO.
It is manufactured by molding a mixture of two powders into a dipping nozzle shape by pressing and sintering the nozzle thus molded at a temperature of 1400 to 2000 ° C. in an atmosphere of an inert gas such as vacuum or Ar. Since the melting point of Mo is 2610 ° C. and the melting point of ZrO 2 is 2715 ° C., which is higher than the molten steel temperature of 1550 to 1650 ° C., the heat resistance of the immersion nozzle made of this composite material is extremely good. And has high mechanical strength. Further, in the present invention, the range of the ZrO 2 component is limited to the above-mentioned range when the content is less than 5% by weight.
This is because the Mo component ratio is too large and the oxidation rate of Mo and the elution speed of Mo into molten steel become too high. On the other hand, if it exceeds 80% by weight, thermal spalling damage occurs. Next, the continuous casting immersion nozzle of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. 1 to 5 are examples of schematic vertical cross sections showing an embodiment as a submerged nozzle of the present invention. In an immersion nozzle 2 having an inner hole 1 through which molten steel flows as shown in FIG. 1 along its axis, the entire immersion nozzle 2 forming the inner hole 1 is made of the above composite material. Although it may be formed, in order to reduce the weight, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, the inner hole wall and the discharge hole surrounding portion 3 (FIG. 2), the slag line portion 4 (FIG. 3), and the combination thereof are used. It is preferable to locally form the composite material such as the portion 5 (FIG. 4), and further, the merging portion 6 (FIG. 5) of the entire area below the slag line portion including the combined portion thereof. Table 1 shows the composite refractory material 1 according to the present invention.
4 and conventional alumina-graphite, zirconia-graphite, and zirconia-graphite-calcia refractories 5
7 shows various characteristics. [Table 1] A molded body was manufactured using Samples 1 to 4 of the present invention and Comparative Samples 5 to 7 and 30 × 30 for testing the amount of non-metallic inclusions such as α-alumina and the corrosion resistance against mold powder. A sample of 230 mm was prepared. Further, in order to test the spalling resistance, a sample having a size of 100φ outer diameter × 50φ inner diameter × 250 mm was prepared. Various test methods are as follows. Adhesion test: 30 × 30 × 230 in molten steel at 1550 ° C. ± 20 ° C. adjusted to Sol-Al 0.05%
The mm sample is dipped for 60 minutes, and the adhesion amount on the outer surface of the sample is measured. Melting test: 1550 ℃ ± 20 ℃ 30 in molten steel
A sample of × 30 × 230 mm was dipped, a mold powder of 6 g per minute was supplied to the surface of the molten steel, and the melting loss amount of the slag line portion after 180 minutes was measured. Spall test: 100φ × 50φ × 250mm sample was placed in an electric furnace adjusted to a predetermined temperature, and
After leaving for a minute, cool with water from the outer surface and check for cracks. The temperature difference between the inner and outer surfaces of the cylindrical sample when a crack occurs (Δ
Measure T). As is apparent from Table 1, Samples 1 to 4 of the present invention used in the immersion nozzle for continuous casting of the present invention
Have excellent strength and thermal conductivity, have good spall resistance, and retain high mechanical properties. Further, it is understood that it has excellent properties with respect to alumina adhesion resistance and slag melting resistance. The above description is for the case of the external immersion type immersion nozzle used when controlling the flow rate by the sliding nozzle, but it is naturally applicable to the internal insertion type immersion nozzle used when controlling the flow rate by the stopper. .. On this occasion,
If the sample of the present invention is applied to the engaging portion with the stopper, the effect is improved. As described above, according to the present invention,
By manufacturing the dipping nozzle with a composite refractory material consisting of ZrO 2 and Mo, it is possible to obtain a dipping nozzle for continuous casting which is excellent in wear resistance, corrosion resistance, spalling resistance and alumina adhesion resistance. Also, a useful effect such as being applicable to SULC steel which is difficult to elute carbon from the nozzle is brought about.
