Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of the correction of main sealing part due to bending from developing by a method wherein the wall thickness of the main sealing part at the corner of the outer peripheral part of a door is made to be thicker. CONSTITUTION:The core 6, with which the main sealing part of weatherstrip W is hollowed, of a molding die 7 and the molding die 7 corresponding to the core are made to be tapered so as to gadually decrease the diameter to the extrusion direction 8 of the weatherstrip. By approaching and separating the core 6 and the molding die 7 to and from each other parallel to the extrusion direction, the main sealing part of the weatherstrip is selectively formed into normal wall thickness part having the predetermined wall thickness and thicker wall thickness part 4, the wall thickness at which is thicker than that at the normal wall thickness part 3 by the required amount. At the same time, the normal wall thickness part 3 and the thicker wall thickness part 4 are continuously and integrally molded without the interposition of mold forming part.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, an outer peripheral edge of a door frame (11) or the like for sealing a gap between a door (10) and an opening of a body (9) of a passenger car (C) as shown in FIG. The rubber weather strip (W) attached as a seal member to seal the portion where the gap is likely to change due to an error in the mounting accuracy of the door (10) itself, a door sucking phenomenon due to a load during high-speed traveling, and the like. , High-level sealing performance to prevent rainwater and the like from entering from this part, and accurate mounting and fixing of the weather strip itself are required.

Therefore, the conventional weather strip (W) generally has a cross-sectional shape as shown in FIG. 12 of a door (10) hinged at one end to an opening of a body (9) of the automobile (C). Fitting part (1) fitted to a gutter-shaped retainer (12) provided on the outer peripheral edge of the door frame (11) of the vehicle
And a hollow cylindrical main seal portion (2) which is deformed by abutting the inner corner of the opening of the body panel (13) when the door (10) is closed.

By the way, the above-mentioned weather strip (W)
Is arranged continuously over the entire outer circumference of the door as described above. Naturally, in the corner portion of the door, as shown in FIG.
It is attached in a bent state as shown in FIG. In this case, the hollow main seal portion (2) of the weather strip is shown in FIG.
As shown in Fig. 15, since the corner section is deformed by bending, is it necessary to insert the claw rubber (14) into the main seal section (2) of this conventional corner section as shown in Figs. 15 (A) and (B)? Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 16, by disposing a weather strip (W ′) provided in the shape of the corner portion separately by die molding in the corner portion, the cross-section deformation due to the bending of the main seal portion is performed. It corresponded.

The features of the automotive weather strip of the present invention, which meet the above-mentioned object, are that a fitting portion fitted to a retainer or the like of a door frame and an integral extension from the fitting portion. A weather strip provided with a seal lip that is provided between the door and the body when the door is closed to seal the gap between the door and the body, in which the main seal portion of the weather strip has a predetermined thickness. And a thick portion provided to a required thickness from the normal thick portion, and the normal thick portion and the thick portion are continuously and integrally formed without a molding portion. Especially. In addition, the method of forming the weather strip is
A core of a molding die that forms the main seal portion in a hollow shape, and a molding die corresponding to the core are formed in a tapered shape that becomes thinner in the extrusion direction of the weather strip, and the core and the molding die are formed in the extrusion direction. The main seal portion of the weather strip is provided with a normal thick portion having a predetermined thickness and a thick portion having a required thicker thickness than the normal thick portion by relatively approaching and separating in parallel with the main seal portion. The gist of the present invention is that the normal thick portion and the thick portion are continuously and integrally formed without a molding portion.

In the weather strip of the present invention having the above-mentioned structure, the normal-thickness portion of the main seal portion is attached to the general portion of the outer periphery of the door, and the thick portion is attached to the outer-peripheral corner portion of the door. Since the thick portion arranged at the corner portion is formed thicker than the normal thickness, the cross-section deformation due to bending hardly occurs even without the claw rubber, and the thick portion has the normal thickness. Since the thick portion and the molding portion are continuously and integrally formed without using the molding portion, the manufacturing thereof can be performed easily and at low cost.

That is, in the molding method of this embodiment, the core (6) of the molding die for forming the main seal portion (2) of the weather strip in the hollow, and the molding die (7) corresponding to the core (6). Is formed in a taper shape that becomes thinner as it goes in the weather strip extrusion direction (8), and these core (6) and molding die (7) are relatively approached and separated in parallel with the extrusion direction (8). As a result, the main seal portion (2) of the weather strip has a normal thickness portion (3) having a predetermined thickness as shown in FIG. 9, and a thick thickness portion (3) having a required thickness greater than the normal thickness portion (3) ( 4) and the normal thick portion (3) and the thick portion (4) are continuously and integrally molded. The core (6) and the molding die (7)
Although approaching and separating are performed by moving the core (6) in the illustrated example, it is also possible to move the base (7).

As described above, the weather strip for an automobile of the present invention has a fitting portion fitted to a retainer or the like of a door frame, and a gap between the door and the body provided integrally with the fitting portion. In a weather strip having a hollow cylindrical main seal portion for sealing, the main seal portion of the weather strip is provided with a normal thickness portion having a predetermined thickness and a required thickness thickness from the normal thickness portion. It is composed of a thick-walled portion, and these normal-thickness portion and thick-walled portion are continuously and integrally formed without unraveling the molding portion, and the main seal portion at the door outer peripheral corner is formed. By forming a thick wall, it prevents cross-sectional deformation of the main seal part due to bending, eliminates the conventional insertion of claw rubber, and suppresses the closing load of the door to a certain level. Thickness By integrally formed continuous with, and has a remarkable effect of occupying perform his manufactured easily and inexpensively with the exclusion of the molded part.
