Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a double-side connected branching terminals in which the arranging density of tabs can be improved by symmetrically connecting one-side chain-like branching terminals, each of which is formed by arranging a plurality of tabs in projecting states at prescribed intervals on one side edge of a belt-like common substrate, to each other by connecting sections provided on the other edges of the substrates. CONSTITUTION:The branching terminals A are constituted by symmetrically connecting one-side connected branching terminals A1, each of which is formed by punching a metal plate and provided with a plurality of tabs 2 arranged at prescribed intervals on one edge of a belt-like common substrate 1 in a comb-like state, by a plurality of connecting sections 3 provided on the other edges of the substrates at appropriate intervals. The width and length of the tabs 2 and the material of the conductive metallic plate are selected in accordance with specifications about the capacitance, size, etc., of a required connector. In addition, the number of poles on both or one side of the terminal can be set at required numbers by cutting off or separating the tabs 2, substrate 1, or sections 3 from a desired location or cutting off unused tabs 2.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, bus bars formed by punching out from a conductive metal plate have been widely used as circuit components of electric junction boxes. The bus bar has many advantages such that the circuit pattern can be easily formed and an arbitrary number of tabs (connector terminals) can be erected from the end portion or the intermediate portion thereof. However, when a plurality of busbars are simultaneously formed from a single metal plate, the punching yield is low and the density of the busbars arranged on the insulating substrate is high because the mutual patterns and the tabs in the developed state interfere with each other. It was difficult.

Further, as a means for positioning and fixing the bus bar to the insulating substrate, there has been conventionally one as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. In FIG. 6, the tab b of the bus bar a is inserted into and fixed to the elongated hole d of the insulating substrate c. Protrusions e and e are provided on the inner edges of the elongated hole d facing each other, and both sides of the elongated hole d are provided. The slits f and f are provided to give the elastic elasticity to the hole edge of the long hole d, and both sides of the tab b are elastically sandwiched and fixed by the convex portions e and e (Actual Publication No. 62-19048). Publication).
FIG. 7 shows a structure in which wedge-shaped projections g are provided on both sides of the base of the tab b, and the tabs are press-fitted and fixed in the long holes d ′ of the insulating substrate c.

However, in the fixing structure shown in FIG. 6, when the tab b is inserted in an inclined posture, it is held as it is without being corrected, so that the centering position of the tab tip is largely displaced or the convex portion e is damaged. There is also a drawback that the long hole d
Since the slits f are provided on both sides of the above, there is no choice but to increase the pitch between the long holes d, which reduces the array density of the tabs and increases the size of the insulating substrate c. In addition, in the case of FIG. 7, in addition to a large force being required for press-fitting the individual tabs b into the elongated holes d ′, cracking or damage to the peripheral portion of the elongated holes d ′ due to excessive press-fitting of the protrusion g. Then, there was a problem that the tab b wobbled.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the double-sided chain branch terminal of the present invention has a plurality of tabs on one side edge of a strip-shaped common substrate as described in claim 1. It is characterized in that one-sided chain-like branch terminals which are projected at intervals are connected in a bilaterally symmetrical manner via a joint provided on the other side edge of the common substrate. Further, the fixing structure of the branch terminal and the insulating substrate is, as described in claim 2, provided with a slot for holding the common substrate of the branch terminal in the insulating substrate,
On one or both of the inner walls of the slot facing each other, a rib is provided so as to project in the middle of the adjacent tabs of the branch terminal,
The common substrate of the branch terminal is sandwiched between the rib and the inner wall of the slot or between the rib and the rib.

The double-sided chain-like branch terminal becomes a single-sided chain-like branch terminal by cutting and separating the connecting portion, so that by cutting and separating the common substrate, it becomes a branch terminal having an arbitrary number of poles. Therefore, by changing the cutting and separating point, a double-sided or single-sided branch terminal having an arbitrary number of poles (number of tabs) can be obtained from only one kind of double-sided chain branch terminal. In addition, fixing the branch terminal is extremely easy because the common board is pressed into the slot of the insulating board and it is sandwiched by the ribs in the slot, so the work is extremely simple, unlike the conventional structure for fixing individual tabs. , No need to worry about bending the tabs or damaging the insulating board when fixing.

FIG. 2 shows a double-sided branch terminal B and a single-sided branch terminal C obtained from the double-sided chain-like branched terminal A. That is,
Arrangement of the tab 2 on both sides or one side by cutting or separating the tab 2, the common substrate 1 or the connecting portion 3 in the two-sided chain branch terminal A at a desired position or cutting and removing the unused tab 2. You can create branch terminals with the same number of poles. The two-sided chain branch terminal A has a simple configuration in which the two one-sided chain branch terminals A 1 and A 1 are symmetrical, and the common substrate 1 that connects a plurality of tabs 2 has a simple shape. In the punching formation from a single conductive metal plate, it is possible to form with a high punching yield without interfering with the conventional busbar pattern formation.

FIGS. 3A to 3C show a fixing structure of the one-side branch terminal C and the insulating substrate 4 obtained as described above. The insulating substrate 4 is provided with a bottomed (5a) slot 5 having a width sufficiently larger than the thickness of the common substrate 1 as shown in (A), and a plurality of pairs of ribs 6 are respectively provided on the wall surfaces of the opposing slots. Set it up. Opposing ribs 6,
The gap between 6 is, of course, sufficiently smaller than the thickness of the common substrate 1. Further, each rib 6 is provided so as to be located between the adjacent tabs 2 and 2 when the rib 6 is inserted into the slot 5 of the common substrate 1.

Therefore, the common substrate 1 of the one-sided branch terminal C is inserted into the slot 5 of the insulating substrate 4 until the bottom 5a of the slot is reached. As a result, the common substrate 1 is sandwiched and fixed by the ribs 6 and 6 on both sides, so that the one-side branch terminal C is also fixed in a stable state. When the one-side branch terminal C is press-fitted and fixed, the tab 2 portion does not come into contact with the rib 6, so that there is no problem such as bending, and unlike the conventional structure in which a plurality of tabs 2 are individually fixed, the work is extremely simple. ..

As described above, according to the present invention,
Arbitrary number of poles (number of tabs) from one side chain branch terminal by cutting and separating the common board and joints and cutting and removing tabs
Both-sided or one-sided branch terminals with are obtained. The two-sided chain branch terminals can be formed by punching at a high density without the interference of the common substrate and the tabs, and the punching yield is also improved.
In addition, when fixing the branch terminal, if the common board is pressed into the slot of the insulating board, it will be sandwiched between the inner wall of the slot and the ribs or between the ribs. Is very easy, and the quality is improved without worrying about the tab bending or the insulating substrate being damaged when fixed.
