The ink is supplied to an appropriate amount using the dampening water roll, and printing is performed using the plate cylinder roll while transferring and supplying ink from the ink roll under water supply conditions from the dampening water roll. In other words, the ink is transferred and deposited under conditions where areas where ink should not be deposited are moistened with dampening water, thereby eliminating the deposition of oil-based ink and creating a proper ink deposition state for printing. It is something that allows people to do this.

-157360 shows that unused water from a water boat attached to a water fountain roller is received by a pipe into a dampening water circulation chamber.

管路内における閉塞をなからしめる。 However, the above-mentioned dampening water is usually mixed with etchant and other additives, and when attempting to return such dampening water from the above-mentioned saucer to the adjustment tank under natural flow, clogging is likely to occur. . That is, generally, a large number of the above-mentioned saucers (water vessels), such as 5 to 6, are provided on the side of the dampening water roll, and each return pipe from them is bent accordingly to reach the adjustment tank. 10 to 20 in any case.
It has to be necessarily a small diameter of about mm,
In addition, each tray is contaminated with paper dust and other substances from the plate cylinder of the printed matter, and such reflux water can cause solid matter to adhere to the inner surface of the narrow and curved return pipe, causing a blockage. expensive. Therefore, instead of the conventional gravity flow method using a simple reflux pipe, in recent years, a pump has been used to suck and recirculate the reflux water from the saucer, or as in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 78414/1983, an ejector has been used to collect water from the saucer. It has been proposed to provide forced reflux to the regulating tank. That is, stable reflux is achieved by forced reflux, and blockages in the reflux pipe are eliminated.

難い。(Problems to be solved by the invention) In the case of the above-mentioned conventional water cannons that simply allow the water to flow back down naturally, a large number of relatively small-diameter, curved pipes from each water canister are installed in a row to reach the adjustment tank. In addition, it is difficult to smoothly circulate dampening water that has increased under recent high-speed printing press operating conditions. It is also difficult to put it into practical use.

りが乱れざるを得ないことになる。 In addition, if the water in the saucer is refluxed using a pump or an ejector as described above, not only will an extra pump and motor be required, but dampening water will flow inside the reflux pipe. flowing rapidly,
In particular, since the dampening water mixes with air and flows, the dampening water foams or the surface of the dampening water in the saucer becomes undulating. The amount of dampening water applied varies in the water source roll that contacts the water surface and applies water to the plate cylinder portion. Fluctuations in the amount of dampening water applied by the water base roll inevitably cause unevenness in the supply of dampening water to the plate cylinder, making it impossible to maintain the desired balance between dampening water and ink on the plate cylinder. As a result, the print finish is inevitably disturbed.

The dampening water under easy conditions is sent to the receiving tray on the printing press side by a pump, and foams in the receiving tray on the side of the printing press.

を得難いこととなる。 Therefore, in such a case, it may be possible to add an antifoaming agent or the like to prevent foaming on the surface of the dampening water in the saucer as described above, and to suppress ripples.
Naturally, the addition of such an antifoaming agent increases costs, and what is undesirable is that the antifoaming agent component added in this manner does not reach the plate cylinder through the dampening water. It is clear that the antifoaming agent component acts as an emulsifier for the ink on the plate cylinder and emulsifies fine ink adhering to the plate cylinder, thereby deteriorating the adhesion of the ink to the printing paper surface and the finish of printing. That is, the running cost for printing becomes high, and moreover, it becomes difficult to obtain a desirable print finish.

Easily removed from the saucer due to natural gravity conditions. That is, the distance to reach this water chamber is relatively short and can be made straight, so even if it is a natural flow, no blockage will occur.

Other influences are effectively absorbed on the free water surface and are completely prevented from reaching the dampening water in the saucer.

According to the technical method disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 60-3994, dampening water whose temperature and pH have been adjusted under stirring conditions using a stirring means has been obtained. That is, as shown in FIG. 2, the adjustment tank 1 is equipped with a cooling mechanism 11 and a heating mechanism (not shown), and is heated or cooled as appropriate depending on the temperature measurement result under stirring conditions by a stirrer (not shown). The temperature is maintained within a predetermined limited temperature range relative to the standard temperature, and the PH value is measured and an acid or alkali is added to maintain the predetermined PH value within the same limited range relative to the standard PH value.
It is designed to stay within a value range.

A constant amount of dampening water is always pumped into the saucer 8.
It is designed to be supplied to That is, header 3
Inside, the dampening water sent to the saucer 8 is temporarily stored, and the air mixed in the pressurized dampening water is separated and returned to the adjustment tank 1 as appropriate through the return pipe 5.

This large-diameter return pipe 7 has an internal volume larger than the total amount of dampening water that naturally flows down from the plurality of return pipes 6 to be introduced, and one end of the large-diameter return pipe 7 is bent downward. The pressure pump chamber 9 is connected to the pressure pump chamber 9, and the pressure pump chamber 9 is provided with a liquid level gauge 19 as shown in FIG . The operation speed is slowed down so that dampening water within a predetermined range is always stored. Each reflux pipe 6 has a saucer 8
As the water level rises, it is preferable to allow the excess water to overflow and flow down, and the opening in the saucer 8 may be either upward or sideways.

である。``Effect of the invention'' The invention as explained above effectively eliminates ripples and foaming in the return water chamber that forms a free water surface in the circulation of dampening water from the adjustment tank to the receiving tray on the printing machine side. The pipe line 6 is sufficiently shortened and straightened to eliminate blockages and ensure stable circulation, thereby eliminating the need for antifoaming agents, etc., and further simplifying the equipment to enable economically superior printing. This is an industrially effective idea.
