ータ6が内蔵されており、シヤワー使用時はこの
ロータ6が回転して、混合湯供給路の開口面積を
変え、シヤワー5から吐出される混合湯量を変化
させ人体へのマツサージ効果を生ずるように工夫
されている。なお混合湯温設定は湯側操作つまみ
1や水側操作つまみ2の手動操作によらず、温度
設定を行なうだけで、湯水の混合比率の調整はサ
ーモエレメントにより自動的に行なわれる自動湯
水混合栓もあつたが、いずれにしても定温度の湯
を供給するだけであつた。

零となる位置まで、混合制御器19により混合弁
駆動装置13を介して駆動制御される。

度検出器17の温度偏差が零となる湯水の混合比
率位置まで、混合弁駆動装置13が混合弁7を駆
動して温度調節を行なう。そして流量制御器のス
イツチ部25を「閉」にすると記憶部26より信
号が取り出され、この信号が増幅されて信号発生
器23から流量制御駆動装置22へ駆動制御信号
が送出される。この駆動制御信号に基づいて流量
制御弁20は混合湯流路の開口比を変え流量検出
器28の信号で流量値をチエツクしつつ流量を変
化させる。そしてこの混合湯の流量は流量制御器
24の送出する信号によつて次々と変化する。こ
の変化の状態は第3図に示すように、時間的に所
定の流量範囲内で変化する。この流量の時間的変
化は、人体に取つて心地よい刺激がシヤワー利用
時等に得られるように設定されており、流量の平
均レベルの大小によつてその変化パターンや流量
割合またサイクル等が影響を受けないように設定
することが可能である。湯圧あるいは水圧に変動
があつて混合湯量値が変化した場合は、流量検出
器28で混合湯量が流量制御器24から指令され
ている流量値からずれたことを検知し、流量制御
弁20を調節して指示どおりの流量値に合わせる
ように制御が行なわれる。混合湯を流量変化させ
ている間、混合湯の温度は温度設定器18で指示
した湯温で供給される。スイツチ部25を「開」
にすると混合湯の流量変化は停止し、一定流量で
かつ温度設定器18の指示湯温に従い通常の給湯
が行なわれる。なお流量制御器24で積算流量を
設定し、流量検出器28からの信号を積算し、設
定流量に達した段階で流量制御弁20を閉成し、
定量給湯を行なうことができる。また、蛇口ある
いはシヤワー水栓の開閉に応じて混合湯の供給開
始、停止が生ずるが、これを流量検出器28で検
出して混合制御器19を介し、混合弁駆動装置1
3を発停制御している。これにより給湯が停止し
た時は、混合弁駆動装置13の駆動も停止させら
れ、消費電力の節約が図られている。また、混合
弁の駆動を止めることにより、給湯の停止時に自
然冷却により温度検出器17の周囲の温度が下が
り、混合制御器19が設定温度を維持しようとし
て混合弁7が湯側を開成し水側を閉成した状態に
臨み、再給湯時に一時的に熱い湯が供給される危
険が防止できる。
