Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate locating process when a cover for surrounding the body of a lighting fixture is to be installed, and make supporting an accessory hangdown rod without interference of the cover. CONSTITUTION:A metal fixture 1 and a socket mounting table 4 are fixed to a ring-form mounting plate 3, and a socket 7 is installed on this socket table 4, and a lamp 8 is fitted in the socket 7. Thus the body 10 of a lighting fixture is constructed, around which a cover 11 is arranged. This cover 11 has a thin long cylindrical part 11a, flange 11b, and large dia. cylindrical part 11c, wherein the large dia. cylinc]rical part 11c is fitted on the ring-form mounting plate 3 so as to make locating of the cover 11. In the condition that the flange 11b is mating with the undersurface of the mounting plate 3, the cover and mounting plate 3 are co-fastened by a threaded part 12a of an accessory hangdown rod 12.

What is claimed is: 1. A ring-shaped mounting plate, a socket mounting base fixed to the mounting plate, a socket fixed downward to the socket mounting base, and a lamp mounted to the socket. A cover having an elongated tubular portion that surrounds the socket and the socket mounting base, a flange portion that extends outward from the upper end thereof, and a large-diameter tubular portion that is connected to the outer peripheral edge of the flange portion and that fits on the outer periphery of the mounting plate; A fixing metal fitting that is fixed to the upper side of the mounting plate and fixed to the ceiling, and a screw part at the upper end penetrates the flange part and the mounting plate and is fastened to both of them, and at the lower end is located below the lamp.
