Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize effectively excrements of domestic animals such as cow, fowl and pig not only as fertilizer but also as fuel or by imparting thereto the effect of soil conditioning. CONSTITUTION:Excrements of cow, fowl and pig are carbonized to prepare powdered charcoal. As a result, they are effectively utilized as powdered charcoal and also easily stored and conveyed due to the lightweight as powdered charcoal. Further, the absence of smell in the charcoal prevents environmental pollution, contributing to pollution prevention. Since the content of ash in the excrements of cow, fowl or pig is larger than that in saw dust or vegetable residue and the ash contains considerable amounts of phosphorus, sulfur, magnesium, potassium and calcium, the powdered charcoal exhibits a significant effect of soil conditioning as well as is effective as fuel, with the added value enhanced.

Conventionally, charcoal, sawdust, etc. have been used as pulverized coal, but in recent years, regarding industrial waste treatment,
Illegal dumping and disposal are becoming social problems as pollution sources. Therefore, plant residues such as bean meal, sake lees, coffee meal, apple meal, other grains, vegetables, fruits, etc., which had conventionally been forced to be dumped in the ocean, rivers, and forests, are carbonized into pulverized coal, which is used as fuel for plant-based coal. A method for effectively utilizing the residue has been invented and filed by the applicant of the present application (1992 Patent Application No. 37268).

However, although charcoal, pulverized coal such as plant residues, etc. are very effective as fuel, they were rarely used as fertilizers with the expectation of their function of promoting soil improvement.

In view of the above points, the present invention not only uses cattle dung, chicken dung, pig dung, and other livestock dung as a fertilizer, but also provides a pulverized coal that can be effectively used by adding the action of fuel and soil improvement. Is what you are trying to do.

As a result, even if charcoal of cow dung, chicken dung, and pig dung is converted into pulverized coal that is completely inferior to that of conventional wood (sawdust), the property of carbon material is utilized and not only fuel but also soil sterilization, Soil improvement, water purification, house humidity control, fertilizer, feed, feed, activated carbon and other materials and raw materials can be used for new purposes. In particular, according to the results table, cow dung, chicken dung, and pig dung have a very high ash content compared with sawdust, plant residues, and the like.

As a result, as compared with the sample blank, each ash contains a large amount of phosphorus, sulfur, magnesium, potassium, calcium and the like, and is considered to have a soil improving action. As shown in Table 1, cow dung, chicken dung, and pig dung have a very large amount of ash, and as a result, they contain a large amount of active ingredients for soil improvement as compared with conventional sawdust and plant residues. Therefore, pollution of rivers and groundwater due to pesticides on golf courses has become a social problem recently.
By using the pulverized coal of the present invention as a soil improving material on a grass field of a golf course, it is also effective for purification of water quality by adsorption of residual agricultural chemicals and growth of grass. It is also known that pulverized coal can be used for deforestation due to acid rain to neutralize and absorb acid rain.

According to the present invention, carbonization of livestock dung such as cow dung, chicken dung, and pig dung can be effectively used as pulverized coal, and the weight of pulverized coal can be reduced, which facilitates storage and transportation. Since it also eliminates odor, it can prevent environmental pollution and contribute to pollution prevention. And cow dung, chicken dung, pig dung, etc., have a higher ash content than sawdust and plant residues, and the ash contains a large amount of phosphorus, sulfur, magnesium, potassium, and calcium, and is therefore effective as a fuel. Not only that, the soil-improving effect is great and the added value is increased, and it is a useful invention for effective utilization of livestock dung.
