<Prior art> As shown in Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 51-21911, the method of painting using the hydraulic transfer method is to apply a pattern to a thin film using paint or printing ink, and then place the pattern on top. The thin film is floated in a liquid state, and then the object to be transferred is pressed against the thin film, and the entire or part of the object is allowed to settle in the liquid, thereby transferring the pattern to the object to be transferred. This is a method in which the thin film is removed from the object to be transferred after the transfer.

The above method can provide any pattern even if the surface of the object to be transferred is a curved or irregularly shaped surface, and is suitable for applying a pattern to the surface of a cabinet such as a television or stereo.

However, the method disclosed in the above publication requires a lot of time during printing because the pattern is printed directly on the thin film, and the thin film expands and contracts more than paper during printing, making registration difficult. This resulted in poor workability.

In addition, polyvinyl alcohol film, which is commonly used as a thin film, changes greatly due to moisture absorption and has poor storage stability. Therefore, powder such as Nikkari powder is sprinkled on it to prevent blistering when moisture is absorbed. Pinholes were formed, which caused problems with printability.

After transfer, careful cleaning was required to remove the thin film. This is because the above-mentioned thin film requires heat of 30μ or more because it is applied by directly printing the pattern, and as a result, the thin film remains on the surface of the transferred object even after transfer, and the thin film must be completely removed for the next process. I had to.

<Problem to be solved> In order to solve the above problem, the inventors of the present invention
As shown in Publication No. 62-146698, after applying a printing layer to a release paper, a transfer sheet with a soluble resin layer provided on the printing layer is used, and at the time of transfer, the release paper is peeled off and the printing layer is placed on top. This was achieved by floating the object and pressing the object from above.

The method disclosed in the above publication solved the problems of washing with water after transfer and warping of the transfer paper, but
When a general polyvinyl alcohol layer is used as the soluble resin layer, the heat of the soluble resin layer is preferably 15μ or more, but if it is 15μ or more, it is difficult to apply uniformly and workability decreases. As a result, the thickness was less than 10μ.

If the thickness of this soluble resin layer is 10 μm or less, there will be no problem with washing with water after transfer, but it is necessary to shorten the processing time of floating on water and pressing the transfer target during transfer. Improvements in work stability were desired.

This intervening layer may be any layer that adheres the printed layer and the polyvinyl alcohol film and has an adhesive force greater than the peel strength between the releasable sheet and the printed layer. The coating amount is set to a thickness of 1 to 10 g/m 2 (solid amount).

Furthermore, during transfer, when the release sheet is peeled off and the film is floated on water with the printed layer facing up, the polyvinyl alcohol film swells and can be easily removed from the intervening layer. In the case of a water-soluble resin, the remaining intervening layer is removed by washing with water, but in the case of a water-insoluble material, washing with water is not necessary.

<Example 1> In FIG. 1, a release sheet in which a polypropylene sheet was laminated on the release side of paper was used as release sheet 1, and a pattern was printed with ink on the release surface to provide a printed layer 2. As the intervening layer 3, polyvinyl alcohol resin (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. PA-
18) dissolved in water at 10% was applied on a solid plate with a gravure plate depth of 60μ, and then a 30μ polyvinyl alcohol film 4 was laminated to form a transfer sheet. Next, remove the release sheet 1 (Figure 2) and float the transfer sheet on the water surface so that the print is on the top.
Methyl ethyl ketone, to activate the printing layer
A mixed solvent of toluene and acetic acid-n-butyne was sprayed, and the transfer object 5 was pressed as shown in FIG. 3 to perform transfer. The polyvinyl alcohol film was peeled off, then briefly washed with water, inserted, and then top coated to obtain a product.

Furthermore, washing with water after transfer became easier, improving workability. If a material with weak adhesion to the polyvinyl alcohol film, especially a water-insoluble material, is used as the intervening layer, there is no need for washing with water after transfer, resulting in even better workability.
