Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the thickening and warping of a bonded part of pile fabrics and to improve the processability of trimming and packing operations by combining a zig-zag sewing, a needling and a hot-pressing processes in the bonding of pile fabrics. CONSTITUTION:A pair of pile fabrics 11, 12 are bonded together by sewing the edges 13, 14 of the fabrics 11, 12 with a sewing thread 17 in zig-zag form while pressing and falling piles 18, 19. A backing cloth 15 is applied to the back of the bonded part 16 and subjected to needle-punching treatment. Finally, the bonded part 16 is hot-pressed to complete the bonding work. The process is effective for preventing the thickening of the bonded part 16 compared with the other part to prevent the catch of the bonded part with a gauge of a shearing machine or backing machine. The adjustment of gauge in the passage of the bonded part 16 can be eliminated by this process.

According to the conventional method, the overlapping ends 13 and 14 at the connection point 16 project to the pile surface (18 and 19) (FIG. 2), and the end portions 13 and 14 are also formed. Even if the two layers are piled up one on top of the other and hung on the sewing machine, the connecting point 16 becomes thicker by the thickness of the double pile fabric (FIG. 3). As described above, when passing through a device having a gauge that is adjusted according to the thickness of the pile fabric, the connection points 16 thereof are caught by the gauge.

For this reason, in the finishing process, it is constantly monitored whether or not the knot point 16 passes through the gauge. When the knot point 16 passes, the work is temporarily interrupted, the gauge is opened, and the knot point 16 is passed. The gauge must be returned to the original state, and the portions before and after the connection point 16 that passes through the opened gauge will be a loss amount that is not shuffled or backed.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems, in which two pile fabrics 11 and 12 are sewn in a zigzag manner along the edges (13 and 14) of a knot. On the other hand, needle punching is applied to the connection point 16, and the connection point 16 is heated and pressed from the front and back sides. By doing so, the pile 19 (18) is pushed down by the sewing thread 17 and the connection point 16 is removed. The fibers are entangled with each other to make the pile fiber density of the pile layer at the connection point 16 denser than the pile fiber density of the pile layer in other portions,
It is characterized in that the connecting portion 16 is not thicker than other portions and is not caught by the gauge.

The two terminal portions 13 and 14 are preferably butt-joined (FIG. 1). At the time of needle punching, it is advisable to overlay the patch cloth 15 on the confounding portion 16 on the back surface of the pile fabric 11 (12). Woven base fabrics of polypropylene tape yarns used to entangle web fibers when making can be used.

Needle punching is performed by first inserting the pile fibers into the patch cloth 15 from the pile surface side 18/19 toward the patch cloth side 15, and then inserting the protruding pile fibers into the pile cloth 11/12 again. When needle punching is applied, the concatenated portion 1
6 may shrink and the width of the pile fabric may become a little shorter than other parts, and in order to restore it, it is advisable to heat the connection point 16 with an iron or the like and press it from the front and back.

As described above, the heating and pressing of the knotted portion 16 is performed for the purpose of expanding the width of the knotted portion 16 contracted by needle punching to restore the original width, but at the same time, the needle 17 is pushed down by the sewing thread 17 and is pressed. It is also effective in setting the density of the pile fibers in the pile layer of the concatenated portion 16 that has been densified by punching as it is.

The knotting by the sewing thread 17 facilitates needle punching, temporarily sets the pile fabrics 11 and 12, and at the knitting point 16 finished by needle punching, ends 13 and 14 of the pile fabrics 11 and 12 are finished.
It will also prevent it from bending back and sticking out.

The pile 19 (18) is pushed down by the sewing thread 17 sewn in zigzag along the edges (13, 14) at the connection point 16 of the pile fabrics 11, 12 according to the present invention. In addition, since the pile fibers of the pile layer are entangled with each other by needle punching, and the fiber density is made denser than that of the pile layers in other portions, the conjoined portion 1
6 does not become thicker than other parts. Then, since the terminals 13 and 14 of the pile fabrics 11 and 12 are held by the sewing thread 17 sewn in zigzag, the connection point 16
It does not bend back and stick out.
