Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a covering composition which is dampish, soft, and leather- like to the touch and has good scratch resistance while retaining wear resistance by enclosing a polytetrafluoroethylene particle with a resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite resin particle mainly comprising one or more polytetrafluoroethylene particles enclosed in and supported by a resin. The supporting resin may be an acrylic, epoxy, polyester, urethane, or polyolefin resin. The composite resin particle is obtained by a method in which a supporting resin particle is synthesized first and one or more polytetrafluoroethylene particles are then mechanically embedded therein or fused thereto, or by a method in which a mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene particles and a monomer or oligomer for the resin is subjected to suspension polymerization or other polymerization.

However, in such a conventional coating composition, for example, in the case of a coating composition obtained by blending resin binder or an extender pigment such as silica into a coating binder resin. However, it has not reached the point of obtaining a coating composition having a moist feel similar to that of genuine leather. Therefore, it has been attempted to blend collagen particles and the like obtained by crushing and purifying natural leather into a coating material to obtain a coating composition that is closer to that of genuine leather. However, in this method, although a moist leather-like texture excellent in water absorption and release is obtained, it is not possible to obtain a soft touch because the collagen particles are hard, or collagen particles due to water absorption and release Due to the change in volume, there is a problem such as a decrease in adhesion to the coating substrate. Therefore, the present inventor previously utilized the water absorption / release properties of collagen or chitosan, and further, for the purpose of minimizing the adverse effect that they exert on the coating film, these natural polymer compounds or their natural polymer compounds were used. Conducting research on composite resin particles containing derivatives in the resin, and using the composite resin particles in a coating composition, it is possible to obtain a coating composition having excellent coating film performance and moist and good feel. Made possible. The present invention produces composite resin particles in which polytetrafluoroethylene particles are contained in a supporting resin, and by incorporating the composite resin particles in a binder resin, a moist and soft-feeling leather-like texture is obtained. At the same time, it is an object to obtain a coating composition capable of improving scratch resistance while maintaining wear resistance.

EXAMPLES The present invention utilizes polytetrafluoroethylene which is conventionally contained directly in a coating resin composition in order to improve the friction property of a coating film. This has been achieved as a result of synthesizing polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles by paying attention to friction characteristics and lubrication characteristics and studying the composite resin particles as an extender pigment of a coating material. The main component of the polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles of the present invention is composed of polytetrafluoroethylene powder or particles and a resin carrying them. Polytetrafluoroethylene is in the form of powder that is generally used as a lubricant, a release agent, an abrasion improver, an antiblocking agent, and the like. The supported resin may be various resins such as an acrylic resin, an epoxy resin, a polyester resin, a urethane resin, and a polyolefin resin, but is not particularly limited, and may be a binder resin used in the coating composition. Select according to the affinity. However, in order to obtain a feel of a finger closer to that of genuine leather, it is preferable that the resin is a soft resin having rubber elasticity in mechanical properties, and since the coating composition generally contains an organic solvent component, it is solvent resistant. It is desirable that it has excellent properties. The above is the main component of the polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles, but it is also possible to use a coloring pigment together for coloring the polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles, and various stability for the purpose of improving thermal stability, light stability, etc. You may add an agent. The polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles of the present invention are prepared by previously synthesizing the composite resin particles, and then mechanically embedding the polytetrafluoroethylene powder, or a method of fusion bonding, polytetrafluoroethylene powder and resin monomer. It can be obtained by polymerizing a mixture with a cation or an oligomer by a suspension polymerization method or the like. Polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles thus obtained as an extender pigment of the coating composition,
Alternatively, when it is colored, it can be used as a coloring pigment to obtain a leather-like coating composition having a novel leather-like touch. In this case, when the polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles are spherical, the average particle diameter is 1
The range is preferably within 00 μm. Further, in the case of a shape other than spherical, those having an average major axis of 100 μm or less are suitable. The reason for this is that when polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles having an average particle diameter or an average major axis of 100 μm or more are applied to a coating composition, a problem such as a rough surface finish of coating may occur, which is not preferable. Examples of the binder resin of the coating composition containing the polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles described above include resins used in their respective fields. For example, in the coating composition, acrylic resin, urethane resin, epoxy resin, alkyd resin, polyamide resin, organosiloxane resin, polyester resin and the like can be exemplified. These resins are selected according to the environment in which the coating composition is used and the coating substrate, and are not particularly limited. Further, it may be used together with an extender pigment, a coloring pigment, resin particles, an abrasion resistance improver, an ultraviolet absorber and the like which are generally used. Among the coating compositions of the present invention, the mechanical properties of the cured film have a breaking strength of 20-.
When a binder resin having a rubber elasticity of 500 kg / cm 2 and a maximum elongation of 20% or more is used, a coating composition having a good leather-like touch can be obtained. Use of a binder resin having a breaking strength of the cured film of 20 kg / cm 2 or less is not preferable because the coating film tends to become brittle. Also, when a binder resin having a breaking strength of the cured film of 500 kg / cm 2 or more is used, the coating film tends to be hard, so that it is difficult to obtain a good tactile sensation. Regarding the mechanical properties of the resin carrying polytetrafluoroethylene, a soft resin having rubber elasticity can be selected to obtain a coating composition having a better tactile sensation. Furthermore, the polytetrafluoroethylene composite resin particles have very good fluidity between each other as compared with ordinary polytetrafluoroethylene powder particles, and thus serve as a lubricant with excellent lubricating performance. Moreover, if an inexpensive resin is used as the resin carrying the polytetrafluoroethylene powder particles, an inexpensive lubricant having excellent lubricating performance can be obtained. [Example 1] Lubron L-2 was added to a mixture of 35 parts by weight of Praxel 220AL (polycaprolactone diol manufactured by Daicel Chemical Industries Ltd.) and 10 parts by weight of Praxel 303 (caprolactone triol manufactured by Daicel Chemical Industries Ltd.).
(PTFE powder manufactured by Daikin Industries, Ltd.) 10 parts by weight and 1 part by weight of carbon black were dispersed together with 44 parts by weight of methyl ethyl ketone in a paint shaker to obtain 100 parts by weight of a paste containing polytetrafluoroethylene. To 100 parts by weight of this paste, 20 parts by weight of Desmodur W (diisocyanate manufactured by Sumitomo Bayer Urethane Co., Ltd.) and 10 parts by weight of Coronate EH (isocyanate oligomer manufactured by Nippon Polyurethane Co., Ltd.) were added and sufficiently stirred. Into a 1 liter separable flask equipped with a thermometer and a stirrer, add 500 ml of a 1% carboxymethyl cellulose aqueous solution, while performing high speed stirring,
100 g of this isocyanate-containing paste was gradually added and stirring was continued for 30 minutes. Then, the temperature was raised to 80 ° C. for 1 hour while continuing the stirring, and the stirring was continued for further 24 hours. As a result, 80 g of black urethane resin particles encapsulating polytetrafluoroethylene particles having a particle diameter of 5 to 200 μm were obtained. . The black urethane resin particles encapsulating the polytetrafluoroethylene were washed with water, dried and then classified to 100 μm or less. [Example 2] 50 parts by weight of Praxel 220AL (polycaprolactone diol manufactured by Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd.) and 10 parts by weight of Praxel 303 (caprolactone triol manufactured by Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd.) were added to 1 part by weight of carbon black to 39 parts by weight. 100 parts by weight of a paste was obtained by dispersing with a part of methyl ethyl ketone by a paint shaker. A 1 liter separable flask equipped with a thermometer and a stirrer was charged with 500 ml of a 1% carboxymethylcellulose aqueous solution, and 100 g of this isocyanate-containing paste was gradually added while stirring at high speed, and stirring was continued for 30 minutes. While continuing stirring, 15 g of Lubron L-2 (polytetrafluoroethylene powder manufactured by Daikin Industries, Ltd.) was gradually added to the dispersion medium.
After that, the temperature was raised to 80 ° C. for 1 hour and the stirring was continued for further 24 hours, whereby 80 g of black urethane resin particles coated with polytetrafluoroethylene particles having a particle diameter of 5 to 200 μm were obtained. The black urethane resin particles were washed with water, dried, and then classified to 100 μm or less. [Example 3] Number average molecular weight 3000, hydroxyl value 112 m
To 40 parts by weight of gKOH / g polyester resin, 30 parts by weight of toluene, 25 parts by weight of ethyl acetate, and 5 parts by weight of carbon black were added and dispersed by a paint shaker to obtain a paste. 20 parts by weight of black urethane resin particles containing the polytetrafluoroethylene particles obtained in Example 1 in 50 parts by weight of this paste, 1 part by weight of Mizukasil P-801 (fine powder hydrous silicic acid manufactured by Mizusawa Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), 0 of dibutyltin dilaurate 0.01 part by weight was added to obtain a coating composition. 100 parts by weight of this coating composition was added to Sumijour N-75.
(Isocyanate oligomer manufactured by Sumitomo Bayer Urethane Co., Ltd.) 8 parts by weight were added and sufficiently stirred, and this composition was mixed with 10 parts by weight of cellosolve acetate and 10 parts by weight of toluene.
When diluted with an organic solvent consisting of 10 parts by weight of ethyl acetate and 10 parts by weight of methyl isobutyl ketone, Ford cup NO. 4 showed a viscosity of 15 seconds (20 ° C.). This coating composition is spray coated on an ABS substrate at 80 ° C for 30
After drying for a minute, a coating film having a very moist leather-like touch was obtained. Moreover, it was confirmed that the coating film had the same level of frictional property as the conventional coating film containing polytetrafluoroethylene particles directly, but the scratch resistance was considerably improved. Example 4 A paste prepared by dispersing 100 parts by weight of Neoletz R-960 (urethane emulsion manufactured by ICI) and 50 parts by weight of the black urethane resin particles obtained in the above Example 2 in 100 parts by weight of water with a paint shaker. Was added to obtain an emulsion coating composition. When this paint was diluted with water and spray-coated on an ABS substrate and dried at 80 ° C. for 30 minutes, a coating film having a leather-like feel with sufficient smoothness and good scratch resistance was obtained.
