Function The gloss measuring device of the present invention has the above-described structure, so that the hair is held between the hair holder and the hair presser in a cut state or in its natural state without being cut, and the hair is measured on the hair presser. Hair gloss can be easily measured by simply setting the tool. In addition, since a fixing member is provided on the holder and a comb is provided on the presser, when the presser is attached to the holder, the hair placed on the holder can be scooped out with the comb.
By arranging each hair straight and parallel to each other and pressing both ends of the hair with a fixing member and a comb body, the hair can be held in a tidy state. Therefore, by irradiating the hair with light from a light source and detecting the reflected light, the gloss of the hair can be accurately and quantitatively measured from the amount of reflected light in good correlation with visual perception.

Therefore, according to the measuring device of this embodiment, the gloss of hair can be easily and quantitatively measured by simply interposing the hair between the holder 1 and the presser 12. Further, the hair is held between the concave portion 3 of the holder 1 and the convex portion 14 of the presser 12, the hair is scooped by the comb body 17, and both ends of the hair are pressed by the fixing member 7 and the comb body 17. As a result, each hair axis can be made parallel to the optical system, the hair arrangement width can be kept constant, and the hair surface can be fixed uniformly, and there is no influence of diffused light or color differences, and the correlation with vision can be improved. And hair gloss can be measured with high reproducibility.

In this case, the detector 21 detects the hair 2 from the light source 20.
It is preferable to arrange it in the direction (regular reflection direction) in which the amount of reflected light when the light is irradiated onto the surface of the mirror 3 is maximum (regular reflection direction), thereby making it possible to accurately measure the gloss.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the first detector 21a is arranged in the direction where the amount of reflected light is maximized,
Furthermore, it is particularly preferable to arrange a second detector 21b in the normal direction of the hair surface and directly connect these two detectors 21a and 21b.This allows the amount of specular reflection light to the amount of diffuse reflection light to be measured, making it easier to see. It is possible to obtain gloss values that are highly correlated with This is because the eye adjusts the amount of incident light through the pupil, and visual gloss is generally determined by comparing the amount of specularly reflected light and the amount of diffusely reflected light, and based on the relative strength of the specularly reflected light.

Furthermore, the detector 21 (FIG. 4) or 21a, 21
b (Fig. 5) and the hair 23, as shown by the dashed line in the figure, one or more types of fibers are used to match the energy wavelength distribution of the detected reflected light to the specific luminous efficiency curve. It is preferable to arrange a filter 24 or 24a, 24b. That is, by using one type of filter or a combination of many types of filters, and calculating the energy wavelength distribution by calculating [relative energy emitted from the light source] × [filter transmittance] × [detector sensitivity] for each wavelength. This energy wavelength distribution can be matched to the specific luminous efficiency curve, making it possible to measure luster with a higher correlation with visual perception. That is, the color of human hair varies depending on the amount of melanin, such as white, gold, reddish brown, brown, black, etc., and also varies depending on the hair color. In addition, animal hair has various colors,
It's even more complicated. On the other hand, human eyes have different sensitivity depending on the wavelength even when receiving light with the same energy.
Light with a wavelength of approximately 555 nm is felt most strongly, and light with wavelengths outside the visible light range is not felt. Therefore, the visual gloss is strongly influenced by the energy wavelength distribution of the reflected light, that is, by the color. Therefore, by taking into account the sensitivity of the detector for each wavelength of light and matching the energy wavelength distribution of the detected light to the specific luminous efficiency curve, it is possible to make the influence of color on visual gloss equal to that on visual perception. It is possible.
