2. Description of the Related Art A shift control device for an automatic transmission is generally
According to a predetermined shift condition using the throttle valve opening and the vehicle speed as a shift parameter, the shift speed is switched according to the actual throttle valve opening and the vehicle speed. For example, FIG. 6 and FIG. 7 are examples of the upshift side shift map and the downshift side shift map as the shift conditions, and are “1st”, “2nd”, “3r”.
The present invention relates to an automatic transmission having four forward shift speeds of "d" and "4th", and vehicle speed V and throttle valve opening TA are defined as shift parameters, respectively. In consideration of the driver's acceleration request and vehicle-side requirements such as the output torque characteristic of the engine, such a shift condition is basically a large throttle valve opening TA on both the upshift side and the downshift side. The vehicle speed V at which the gear is switched is also set to increase as the speed changes. Specifically, as the throttle valve opening TA is smaller and the vehicle speed V is higher, the higher speed stage side is selected so that optimum shift control is performed by comprehensively judging the riding comfort such as running performance and noise, and fuel consumption. That is, as the gear ratio (= input shaft rotational speed / output shaft rotational speed) is upshifted to the lower gear side and the throttle valve opening TA is larger and the vehicle speed V is smaller, the lower gear side, that is, the gear stage with a larger gear ratio. It is usually prescribed to downshift to the side.

By the way, the above-mentioned speed change conditions are set assuming that the vehicle generally runs on a flat road.
It is difficult to say that appropriate gear shift control is always performed when driving in high altitudes where the actual intake air amount is smaller than the throttle valve opening or in mountain roads where the road surface gradient changes, and It is not possible to satisfy all the different requirements of individual drivers, such as placing importance on running performance rather than fuel efficiency. Therefore, it is considered that the shift control is optimized by automatically correcting the shift condition based on such a driving state or correcting the shift condition according to a manual operation of the driver. There is. For example, the device described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2-266155 obtains the required intake air amount QNTA from a predetermined data map based on the engine speed NE and the throttle valve opening TA, and measures it with an air flow meter. QN between the actual intake air amount Qm and the required intake air amount QNTA
TA / Qm is calculated as the correction coefficient Kshift, and as the correction coefficient Kshift becomes larger than 1.0, in other words, the actual intake air amount Qm becomes the required intake air amount QNTA.
As it becomes smaller than the above, the shift condition is corrected so that the engine may be easily downshifted and less likely to be upshifted in order to compensate for the insufficient output torque of the engine.

On the other hand, in correcting the shift condition as described above, it is necessary to set a guard for the shift vehicle speed so that the engine rotation speed does not exceed a predetermined maximum rotation speed. That is, the map MU shown by the alternate long and short dash line in FIG. 9 is obtained by multiplying the shift vehicle speed U V of the basic shift map U on the upshift side by the correction coefficient Kshift, but in the portion where the throttle valve opening TA is larger than TAa. Since the vehicle speed Vmax corresponding to the maximum engine speed is exceeded, if the shift control is performed according to this map MU, the engine will overrun. Therefore, the corrected map M
In the portion where the speed change vehicle speed of U exceeds the vehicle speed Vmax, the vehicle speed Vmax is usually set as the speed change vehicle speed so that the engine does not overrun.

However, in the case where the transmission vehicle speed is uniformly guarded by the vehicle speed Vmax in this way, at the throttle valve opening TAa or more, the vehicle speed is constant Vmax regardless of the change of the throttle valve opening TA. Since the gear shift is performed, the driver's intention is not reflected in the gear shift control, which causes the driver to feel uncomfortable and deteriorates the driving feeling. Such a problem becomes more remarkable as the correction amount increases and the throttle valve opening degree TAa decreases.

In order to achieve such an object, the guard vehicle speed that limits the vehicle speed of the transmission so as not to overrun the engine may have different values depending on the throttle valve opening. As shown in the claim correspondence diagram of FIG. 1, the present invention uses (a) a predetermined shift condition such that a shift vehicle speed at which a shift speed is changed increases as the throttle valve opening increases. Correcting means for automatically correcting based on the state or manual operation of the driver, and (b) according to the shift condition corrected by the correcting means, the shift stage of the automatic transmission according to the actual throttle valve opening and the vehicle speed. In a shift control device for an automatic transmission, which includes a shift means for switching
(C) The correction means does not exceed a predetermined maximum vehicle speed so that the engine does not overrun when the throttle valve opening is maximum and does not exceed a guard vehicle speed that decreases as the throttle valve opening decreases. A correction limiting unit for limiting the vehicle speed after the shift by the correction is provided.

In such a shift control device for an automatic transmission, the predetermined shift condition is automatically corrected by the correction means based on the actual driving state of the vehicle or the manual operation of the driver, and The corrected shift vehicle speed is limited by the correction limiting means so as not to exceed a predetermined maximum vehicle speed so that the engine does not overrun, and the shift means controls the shift of the automatic transmission according to the correction limited shift condition. Is done. Here, the correction limiting means does not uniformly guard the shift vehicle speed by the maximum vehicle speed, but guards at the maximum vehicle speed when the throttle valve opening is maximum, but guards as the throttle valve opening becomes smaller. Since the vehicle speed is also reduced, even when the corrected vehicle speed is limited by the correction limiting means, the vehicle speed increases as the throttle valve opening increases, similar to the basic gear shift condition. Thus, while preventing engine overrun, the shift control is always performed using the throttle valve opening that reflects the driver's intention as a parameter, and the shift is performed at a constant vehicle speed regardless of the throttle valve opening change. The driving feeling is improved compared to the conventional case.

First, in step S1, the current shift speed is read based on the output state of the solenoid signal for switching the shift speed of the automatic transmission 68, and in step S1.
At 2, the throttle valve opening signal STA representing the throttle valve opening TA and the vehicle speed signal SV representing the vehicle speed V are read. In a succeeding step S3, it is determined whether or not the current shift speed read in the above step S1 is "4th". If the answer is YES, there is no possibility of an upshift, and therefore immediately after step S8 If NO in step S4, the steps related to upshifting in and after step S4 are executed. In step S6, the shift map selected in step S4 is corrected by the correction coefficient Kshift, and based on the corrected shift map, from the current throttle valve opening TA indicated by the throttle valve opening signal STA. The shift-up vehicle speed MVu is calculated. Then, in the next step S7, the upshift vehicle speed MVu is compared with the current vehicle speed V represented by the vehicle speed signal SV read in step S2, and whether upshift is performed or not depending on whether MVu ≦ V or not. In step S8, it is judged whether or not the current shift speed read in in step S1 is "1st". If NO in step S9, three types of downshift-side shift maps stored in advance as vehicle speed V and throttle valve opening TA as shift parameters, that is, "2nd → 1st", "3r
A shift map for downshifting from the current shift stage is selected from shift maps for "d → 2nd" and "4th → 3rd". For example, if the current gear is "3
In the case of "rd", the shift map for "3rd → 2nd" in (b) is selected. This downshift side shift map is set so as to downshift to the lower gear side as the throttle valve opening TA increases and the vehicle speed V decreases, and the pattern select switch 66 is used in the same manner as the upshift side shift map. A plurality of types are stored in advance according to a plurality of selected driving patterns. In step S10, the correction coefficient Kshift is read,
In step S11, the shift map selected in step S9 is corrected by the correction coefficient Kshift, and the throttle valve opening signal ST is calculated based on the corrected shift map.
The downshift vehicle speed MVd is calculated from the current throttle valve opening TA represented by A. Then, in the next step S12, the downshift vehicle speed MVd is compared with the current vehicle speed V represented by the vehicle speed signal SV read in the step S2,
Whether or not the downshift is performed is determined depending on whether or not V ≦ MVd. If V ≦ MVd, the shift stage of the automatic transmission 68 is switched to downshift in step S13, but if MVd <V, Repeats execution of step S1 and thereafter.

The correction coefficient Kshift read in steps S5 and S10 is obtained, for example, according to the flow chart of FIG. 4, and this flow is repeatedly executed at substantially the same cycle time as the flow of FIG. 3, for example, at a time interval of about 32 msec. It will be updated sequentially. In FIG. 4, steps SS1, SS2, S
In S3, the throttle valve opening signal STA, the engine speed signal SNE, and the intake air amount signal SQm are read, and in step SS4, the throttle valve opening signal S
Based on the throttle valve opening degree TA represented by TA and the engine speed NE represented by the engine speed signal SNE, the required intake air amount QNTA is obtained by map interpolation from a predetermined data map as shown in FIG. 8, for example. calculate. Then, in the next step SS5, the correction coefficient Kshift is calculated by dividing the required intake air amount QNTA by the actual intake air amount Qm represented by the intake air amount signal SQm. The above data map of FIG. 8 shows that the actual intake air amount is the throttle valve opening TA and the actual intake air amount when the intake air amount variable mechanism such as the variable valve timing mechanism 52 is in a predetermined standard state and at a standard altitude (1 atmospheric pressure). It is obtained experimentally by using the engine speed NE as a parameter, and in such a standard state, QNTA≈Qm
Therefore, the correction coefficient Kshift becomes ≈1.

In addition, the shift map selected in step S4 is corrected by the correction coefficient Kshift, and the shift-up vehicle speed MVu is calculated from the throttle valve opening TA based on the corrected shift map in step S6.
For example, it is executed according to the flowchart of FIG. In step R1 of FIG. 5, the shift vehicle speed Uv of the upshift side shift map U (corresponding to the map of FIG. 6) defined with the vehicle speed V and the throttle valve opening TA as parameters is multiplied by the correction coefficient Kshift. Correction map MU
In step R2, the shift-up vehicle speed MVu is calculated from the actual throttle valve opening TA based on the correction map MU. The actual intake air amount Qm is smaller than the required intake air amount QNTA, and the correction coefficient Kshift
If 1.0 is greater than 1.0, the correction map MU moves to the higher vehicle speed side as shown in FIG. 9, so the upshift vehicle speed MVu is calculated based on this correction map MU, and The transmission 78 becomes difficult to upshift. In the step S11 of calculating the shift-down vehicle speed MVd, the same signal processing as in steps R1 and R2 is performed, and the correction coefficient Kshift is multiplied by the shift vehicle speed Dv of the shift map D on the downshift side to correct the correction map MD.
And the shift-down vehicle speed MVd is calculated based on the correction map MD, and when the correction coefficient Kshift is larger than 1.0, the shift-down vehicle speed MVd moves to the high vehicle speed side and is down. It becomes easier to shift.

Regardless of the operating state of the variable valve timing mechanism 52, the variable valve timing mechanism 52, or the like, or the change in atmospheric pressure, appropriate shift control that always matches the actual engine output torque is performed.

On the other hand, when the shift vehicle speed, that is, the shift-up vehicle speed MVu is moved to the higher vehicle speed side by such a correction, the gear shift is executed while the engine 10 is in the high rotation state, and the engine 10 is shifted before the gear shift. There is a risk of overrun. For example, when the throttle valve opening TA is TA 1 in FIG. 9, the vehicle speed V 1 is calculated as the shift-up vehicle speed MVu, and this vehicle speed V 1 is the maximum vehicle speed V that is determined so that the engine 10 does not overrun.
Since it is greater than max, if the upshift is not performed until the actual vehicle speed V reaches the vehicle speed V 1 , the engine 1
0 is overrun. For this reason, in the present embodiment, the step R3 and subsequent steps are executed following the step R2 to limit the upshift vehicle speed MVu so that the engine 10 does not overrun.

変速判断が行われることになる。
At step R3, it is judged whether or not the correction coefficient Kshift is equal to or more than a predetermined constant value K1.
4, the throttle valve opening TA is a predetermined constant value T
It is determined whether it is Ax or more. These steps are for determining whether or not the upshift vehicle speed MVu needs to be limited in order to prevent overrun of the engine 10. The constant value K1 is, for example, 1.1 to 1.
A value of about 2 is set, and the constant value TAx is, for example, 5
A value of about 0 to 60% is set. If the determinations at these steps R3 and R4 are both YES, at step R5, the shift-up vehicle speed MVux is calculated based on the correction map MU when the throttle valve opening TA is the constant value TAx. At the same time, the guard vehicle speed Vug is calculated from the actual throttle valve opening TA in step R6 according to the following equation (1),
At 7, the guard vehicle speed Vug is set to the upshift vehicle speed MVu. Vmax in the equation (1) is a maximum vehicle speed preset for each type of shift so that the engine 10 does not overrun, but in the shift map on the upshift side, the throttle valve opening TA is usually 100%. Since it substantially matches the shift vehicle speed at that time, it may be read from the shift map. As shown by the broken line in FIG. 9, the guard vehicle speed Vug obtained according to the equation (1) is the maximum vehicle speed Vmax and the throttle valve opening TA when the throttle valve opening TA is maximum, that is, 100%. It becomes smaller as it gets smaller, and the throttle valve opening TA becomes a constant value T.
When it is Ax, it matches the correction map MU and becomes MVux.
Therefore, for example, when the throttle valve opening TA is TA 1 , the vehicle speed V 2 is calculated as the guard vehicle speed Vug and is set to the shift-up vehicle speed MVu, and the step-up is performed using the shift-up vehicle speed MVu (= V 2 ). The shift determination in S7 will be performed.

It should be noted that the shift map on the downshift side shows that the throttle valve opening TA is 10 in order to prevent busy shift.
Even when it is 0%, it is set so as to downshift at a vehicle speed sufficiently lower than the overrun vehicle speed at the gear after the gear shift, and therefore the correction restriction processing such as the above upshift is not always necessary. However, it is of course possible to execute the same correction restriction processing as described above in order to prevent overrun due to excessive correction, and the maximum vehicle speed in that case is the same as in the case of upshifting. The vehicle speed may be a vehicle speed for preventing the above or a lower vehicle speed for preventing the busy shift.

As described above, the shift control device of this embodiment is
By limiting the shift-up vehicle speed MVu by the guard vehicle speed Vug, overrun of the engine 10 is avoided regardless of the correction of the shift map by the correction coefficient Kshift, but the guard vehicle speed Vug is the actual throttle valve opening T.
Calculated according to the above formula (1) with A as a parameter,
As with the basic shift map, the larger the throttle valve opening TA, the larger the guard vehicle speed Vug. Therefore, regardless of the difference in the throttle valve opening TA that reflects the driver's intention, the guard is kept at a constant maximum vehicle speed Vmax. The driving feeling is improved as compared with the conventional device.

In particular, since the guard vehicle speed Vug in this embodiment is set based on the correction map MU corrected by the correction coefficient Kshift, the overrun of the engine 10 is avoided and the guard vehicle speed Vug is adjusted to the magnitude of the correction coefficient Kshift. And more appropriate guards will be implemented. That is, when the correction coefficient Kshift is relatively small and the correction map MU is close to the basic shift map U, the slope of the guard vehicle speed Vug shown by the broken line in FIG. 9 becomes gentle, and the sense of discomfort in the shift control caused by the guard is felt. It almost never occurs.

Steps R3 and R14 are the same as Steps R3 and R4 in the above-described embodiment, and in Step R15, the shift-up vehicle speed Vux when the throttle valve opening TA is the constant value TAx is calculated based on the basic shift map U, and Steps At R16, the upshift vehicle speed MVux is calculated by multiplying the upshift vehicle speed Vux by the correction coefficient Kshift. This shift-up vehicle speed MVux is determined by the step R of the above embodiment.
It is the same as the shift-up vehicle speed MVux calculated in step 5, and in the following steps R17 and R18, the guard vehicle speed Vug is obtained and the guard vehicle speed Vug is set as the shift-up vehicle speed MVu in the same manner as in steps R6 and R7. It

The flowchart of FIG. 11 is also used instead of that of FIG. 5, but the mode of correction by the correction coefficient Kshift is different from that of the above embodiment. That is, in step R21, the shift map NU is calculated by dividing the shift throttle valve opening U TA of the shift map U on the upshift side defined by the vehicle speed V and the throttle valve opening TA as parameters, to obtain the correction map NU. In step R22, the shift-up vehicle speed NVu is calculated from the actual throttle valve opening TA based on the correction map NU. When the correction coefficient Kshift is larger than 1.0, the correction map NU moves to the low load side where the throttle valve opening TA is small as shown in FIG. 12, so the shift up is performed based on this correction map NU. By calculating the vehicle speed NVu, the automatic transmission 78 is less likely to upshift as in the above-described embodiment. Then, instead of the shift-up vehicle speed MVu, the shift determination in step S7 is made based on the shift-up vehicle speed NVu, and step S13 is performed.
When the gear shift is executed in the above, regardless of the operating state of the idle speed control valve 38, the variable valve timing mechanism 52, etc., in which the actual intake air amount Qm is different even if the throttle valve opening TA is the same, or the atmospheric pressure change, etc. Therefore, appropriate shift control that always matches the actual engine output torque is performed.

In such a correction, as is apparent from FIG. 12, the throttle valve opening TA at the maximum vehicle speed Vmax decreases according to the value of the correction coefficient Kshift, so that the throttle valve opening TA becomes 100 / Kshift or more. In a large range, the maximum vehicle speed Vmax is the upshift vehicle speed NV
The result is u, which causes the driver to feel uncomfortable.
Therefore, the same step R2 as the steps R3 and R4 is performed.
If both R3 and R24 are YES, step R
25, the shift-up vehicle speed NVux when the throttle valve opening TA is the constant value TAx is calculated based on the correction map NU, and the guard vehicle speed NVu is calculated in step R26 in accordance with the same equation as the equation (1).
g is calculated, and the guard vehicle speed NVug is calculated in step R27.
Is set to the upshift vehicle speed NVu. The guard vehicle speed NVug obtained in this way is as shown by the broken line in FIG. 12, and for example, the throttle valve opening T
When A is TA 2 , the vehicle speed V 3 is the guard vehicle speed NVug.
And the shift-up vehicle speed NVu is set.

Also in this embodiment, the guard vehicle speed NVug is calculated using the actual throttle valve opening TA as a parameter, and as the throttle valve opening TA increases, the guard vehicle speed NVug also increases as in the basic shift map.
The same effects as those of the above-described embodiment can be obtained, such as deterioration of driving feeling is reduced. In this case, of the series of signal processing performed by the transmission control computer 34, the part that executes step R21 corresponds to the correction means, and the part that executes steps R25 to R27 corresponds to the correction restriction means. In the above example, the upshift side has been described, but similar correction and correction restriction processing can be performed on the downshift side.

For example, in the above-described embodiment, the case where the shift-up judgment is made by obtaining the shift-up vehicle speeds MVu, NVu and the shift-down vehicle speed MVd has been explained. It is also possible to determine the degree and compare it with the actual throttle valve opening TA to make a shift determination.
That is, resulting in guard speed Vug indicated by a broken line in FIG. 9 and FIG. 12, and be good if performed shift in the vehicle speed not exceeding NVug, for example, V 2 the actual vehicle speed V, V 3
In the case of, the shift-up throttle valve opening is T
