In recent years, with the spread of disposable medical devices, many medical devices are used only once and then discarded.However, it is dangerous to dispose of used injection needles, so they are usually used first. After reattaching the old needle cover, I discarded it with it still attached to the syringe.

By the way, the needle cover normally used has an opening at one end and a closed end.
Accidents of accidentally pricking one's finger with the tip of the needle when reattaching the needle cover often occur, which has become a problem. Puncture accidents like this don't just hurt your fingers;
Blood adhering to the needle may cause infections such as hepatitis and AIDS. Furthermore, since this needle cover does not have a lid, if a used needle is removed from the syringe and placed in the needle cover, the needle may come off the needle cover, and in such a case, there is also the risk of infection mentioned above. There is.

In order to solve such problems,
Publication No. 268566 introduces a needle storage device (syringe needle exterior) that is provided with a means for holding a used injection needle inside a needle cover and is further provided with a lid. However, this needle storage device uses a method in which the opening end has a large diameter as a means of guiding the injection needle into the storage device, which results in a very large volume and is a big problem when considering disposal. It was hot. Therefore, it is not a large item that takes up a lot of space.
There is a need for a needle storage device that can be inserted safely.

In order to achieve this objective, the present invention has the following configuration. That is, the syringe needle storage device according to the present invention includes a cylindrical body 1 having an opening at one end and a closed end, and a lid 2 connected to the open end with a hinge.
A used syringe needle storage device comprising: the lid 2;
The inner side of the syringe needle is almost flat, and a straight groove 4 is formed in the flat part toward the opening end of the cylindrical body when the lid is open. The needle tip is guided inside the cylindrical body, and a plurality of protrusions 5 are provided in the axial direction inside the body to engage with the protrusions at the base of the injection needle to prevent the inserted injection needle from rotating. It is characterized by this.

By using the injection needle storage device of the present invention, used injection needles can be safely inserted into the storage device. In other words, a straight groove is formed on the inside of the lid of the storage device to guide the used injection needle into the cylindrical body, so if you place the needle against this groove and slide it toward the body, , the injection needle enters the main body. Then, remove the needle from the syringe, close the cap, and discard.

When disposing of a used syringe needle, place the syringe needle against the groove 4 provided in the lid 2 and slide it to the left in the figure, as shown in Figure 1, and it will be safely inserted into the main body 1. . As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the groove 4 is oriented parallel to the hinge 3 and toward the open end of the main body when the lid is open.

Further, in order to remove the injection needle inserted into the main body from the syringe, the present invention has the following configuration. That is, since the base of the injection needle is provided with a plurality of protrusions 6 as shown in FIG.
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, inside the main body 1, a plurality of protrusions 5 are provided parallel to the axis of the main body so as to dimensionally engage with the protrusions 6 at the base of the injection needle.
These protrusions 5 and 6 prevent the injection needle from rotating within the main body, and in this state, if the syringe is rotated while applying a pulling force, the injection needle can be easily removed from the syringe.

In addition, if this needle storage device is used, a used injection needle is inserted at a certain angle θ with respect to the axis of the needle storage device main body 1, so even if an insertion error occurs, the used injection needle can be inserted into the main body 1. The possibility of injuring the finger holding 1 is very low.

In this embodiment, the shape of the groove is a V-groove, but various shapes such as a U-groove or a square groove are possible. However, V-grooves are more preferable in terms of ease of position fixation. With this configuration, a used syringe needle can be inserted safely and reliably without having to make the opening end of the syringe needle storage device main body 1 large in diameter, so the syringe needle storage device can be made compact and extremely compact. It's advantageous. It is undesirable for the storage device to be larger than the needle to be disposed of, and the amount (volume) of waste is a big problem, especially in hospitals where a large number of needles are used and disposed of each day. It is the answer to the solution of the problem.

The needle cover of the present invention can be easily manufactured by being entirely made of plastic. For example, a mold may be manufactured in the shape shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

By using the syringe needle storage device of the present invention, the needle can be safely disposed of without accidentally pricking one's finger when inserting the syringe needle. Further, even if the size of the needle storage tool itself is made compact, safety during needle insertion is guaranteed, so that the effect of not taking up a large volume when discarded is achieved.
