In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a mechanism for attaching and detaching an operating unit of an electronic device, which includes a main body of the electronic device and an operating unit that is detachably attached to a recess formed in the main body of the electronic device. a push-up member having an engagement protrusion formed at a predetermined position on a side surface and a contact surface that comes into contact with the engagement protrusion of the operating unit on the main body of the electronic device; and a spring means for pushing up the push-up member in a direction in which the operating unit is removed. and a stopper mechanism including a lock lever having a locking portion for locking the engagement protrusion of the operating unit and a spring means for springing the lock lever, and storing the operating unit in the recess of the electronic device main body. At this time, the engaging protrusion of the operating unit descends while slidingly contacting the slope formed on the locking portion of the lock lever of the stopper mechanism, and the lock lever is pressed and moved against the elasticity of the spring means, and the lock lever is pressed and moved against the elastic force of the spring means. When the push-up member is pushed down, the push-up member further descends and comes out of sliding contact with the lock lever at the upper part of the engagement protrusion, so that the lock lever moves onto and engages with the engagement protrusion.

By configuring the operation unit attachment/detachment mechanism of the electronic device as described above, the operation unit can be easily attached to the electronic device body simply by pushing the operation unit into the recess of the electronic device body, and by simply moving the lock lever in a predetermined direction. The operating unit can easily pop out of the recess, and therefore the operating unit can be easily and repeatedly attached to and detached from electronic equipment such as a car stereo.
