Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly work of a circuit breaker so as to facilitate the automatic assembly thereof as compared with the case where a draw spring is used, so that the mass-producibility of the circuit breaker may be raised to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof by compressively interposing a reversing spring between a cradle and a movable contact-maker. CONSTITUTION:A compressed reversing-spring 46 is suspended between spring- bearing portions 44 and 45 provided to both of a movable contact-maker 38 and a cradle 31. When a movable contact-point 41 and a stationary contact-point 42 are closed and also when the locking portion 37 of the cradle 31 is locked in the locking bearing portion 51 of an abnormal current detecting means 14, the spring 46 applies contact pressure between both contact-points. When the locking portion 37 is released from the bearing portion 51 of the means 14, the spring makes its reverse movement so that the contact-maker 38 and the cradle 31 may be rotated in a direction wherein the contact-point 41 is detached from the contact point 42. The use of a compressed spring for the reversing spring 46 can facilitate the assembly work of arranging component members and locking the members with one another or the like so as to make even the automatic assembly.
