前記回転軸の周面との間に微少間隙を保つて大気
側へ向つて延び円錐形状に製せられるゴム状弾性
材製ダストリツプ、及び前記グリースリツプと前
記ダストリツプとの間に前記回転軸の周面との間
に微少間隙を保つて存在する複数条のゴム条弾性
材製中間リツプを有する構成と成すものである。

滑剤等は第1図に示す如く、グリースリツプの外
周円錐面を伝つて回転軸周面に落下するときには
潤滑剤側に向う速度成分を有しており、グリース
リツプ3の内周端の軸方向直下に対し潤滑剤側に
落下した後に回転軸1の回転により振り切られる
ため、潤滑剤等が密封装置内へ戻り大気側へ漏洩
することを完全に阻止することができる。また、
回転軸の周面との間に小隙間を保つてグリースリ
ツプの隣に配列された複数条のゴム様弾性材料製
中間リツプが、ラビリンス効果によつて内部グリ
ースの漏出を阻止し、回転軸の周面との間に微少
隙間を保つて大気側に配置されたゴム様弾性材料
製ダストリツプが、前記グリースリツプと同様の
作用によつて第1図に示す如く、ダスト等が密封
装置へ戻り潤滑剤側へ侵入することを完全に阻止
することができる。

回転軸1の周面との間に小隙間を形成する2条の
ゴム様弾性材料製中間リツプ4が配列され、図上
で右方の大気側に、外方に向つて先細に形成され
て回転軸1の周面との間に微少隙間を形成するゴ
ム様弾性材料製ダストリツプ5が配置されてい
る。

るゴム状弾性材製ダストリツプ、及び前記グリー
スリツプと前記ダストリツプとの間に前記回転軸
の周面との間に微少間隙を保つて存在する複数条
のゴム状弾性材製中間リツプを有する構成とする
ことにより、中間リツプのラビリンス作用によつ
て潤滑剤の漏出を防止し、グリースリツプにより
潤滑剤等が密封装置内へ戻り大気側へ漏出するこ
とを阻止し、更にダストリツプによつて外部ダス
トの侵入を阻止するため、潤滑剤及び大気側の両
方において完全に密封する能力を持つものであ
る。しかも、各リツプの内周端部が回転軸の周面
に接触していないので、摩擦によるトルクの損失
並びにリツプ先端部及び回転軸周面の摩滅が生じ
ず、長期間にわたつて正常な密封機能が保持され
る。
