Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a battery with the only thermocompression welding, and maintain the thinness, and facilitate the installation of a battery in an equipment by providing a lug part in a current collecting body, and bending it, and making a projecting terminal of a linear member. CONSTITUTION:In a thin lithium battery, the positive electrode active material 3 is held by a positive electrode current collecting body 2, which is provided with a lug part 1, except for the inside peripheral part thereof, and thereafter, the positive electrode current collecting body 2 is coated with the electrolyte. Next, the electrical insulating sealing agent 4 is adhered so as to coat the outer surface of the current collecting body 2 except for the peripheral part and the lug part 1. Furthermore, in a negative electrode current collecting body 5, a lug part 6 is provided similarly with the current collecting body 2, and the negative electrode active material 7 and the sealing agent 4 are adhered. Next, they are laminated, and the lug parts 1, 6 are bent to the outer surface side of each current collecting body. Furthermore, a linear member is located between the lug part and the sealing agent 4, and the sealing agent 4 is thermocompressed for welding on a heating plate of a sealing device under the reduced pressure to perform the pressure reduction sealing. Simultaneously, a projecting part is formed in the lug part at a position of the linear member to form a terminal. A battery can be held by only charging from a housing port.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a thin battery in which current collectors each having a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode active material held on the inner surface are superposed on each other. By providing an ear portion on the current collector, bending each ear portion on the same surface side or the opposite surface side, and adhering the ear portion to an electrically insulating sealing agent coated so as to surround the outer surface of the current collector. A terminal is formed, and a linear member is arranged between the bent ear portion and the electrically insulative sealing agent, and a protruding portion is formed on a current collector portion corresponding to the linear member. It is used as a terminal.

EXAMPLES Details of the present invention will be described below with reference to examples. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the positive and negative electrode current collectors used in the present invention. The positive electrode active material 3 is provided in a region excluding the inner peripheral edge of the positive electrode current collector 2 provided with the ear 1 of the thin lithium battery. After being held, the electrolyte is coated from above. Next, an electrically insulative sealing agent 4 was adhered so as to cover the outer surface of the positive electrode current collector 2 excluding the peripheral portion and the ear 1. Further, with respect to the negative electrode current collector 5, an ear portion 6 was provided on the same side as the positive electrode current collector 2, and the negative electrode active material 7 and the electrically insulating sealant 4 were bonded.
Next, after these were overlapped with each other, the ears 1 and 6 were bent to the outer surface side of each current collector as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
Further, after arranging the linear member 8 between the ears and the electrically insulating sealing agent 4, the battery is placed on the hot plate of the sealing device, and the electrically insulating sealing agent 4 is thermocompression bonded from above and below under reduced pressure. Then, the inside of the battery was hermetically sealed under reduced pressure. Simultaneously with thermocompression bonding, protrusions 9 and 10 were formed on the ears 1 and 6 of each current collector corresponding to the position of the linear member 8. The protrusions 9 and 10 were used as a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal.
