Abstract

Claims (4)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 給紙装置より給送される用紙をレジスト
ローラによりタイミングをとって給送し、光書き込み手
段による書き込みに基づいて画像担持体に形成される画
像を転写し、定着装置により定着して排紙する画像形成
装置において、レジストローラより下流にマーク検出手
段を設け、用紙の送り方向に対し斜めに延びる横レジス
トマークを付した用紙を給送し、前記マーク検出手段に
よる検出信号に基づいて用紙先端からマーク迄の時間を
計測し、計測した時間の予め設定された時間に対する差
を算出し、算出して得られた差に基づいて横レジスト量
を求め、該横レジスト量に応じて画像担持体への光書き
込みタイミングを調整することを特徴とする画像形成装
置。
1. 像形成装置担持体への光書き込みタイミングを調整する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。

を求め、その横レジスト量に応じて表面と裏面の夫々に
おける画像担持体への光書き込みタイミングを調整する
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の画像形成装
置。
