(3) Problems to be solved by the invention However, since the above-mentioned neck protector has a thick and hard cushion body sewn onto the back part of the above-mentioned garment, the cushion body is larger than the back part of the garment. It bulges out and looks unsightly, and when the helmet wearer's neck falls backwards, the force applied to the neck protector from the lower rear end of the helmet tends to cause the protector to slip off along with the clothing, and in that case, the neck The helmet does not have a sufficient fall prevention effect, and furthermore, the cushion body cannot be separated from the clothing even when the helmet wearer gets off the vehicle, making it impossible to use the clothing for purposes other than riding. It was hot.

B. Structure of the invention (1) Means for solving the problem According to the first feature of the invention, in order to achieve the above object, a helmet is installed in a state where the inner surface is in contact with both shoulders and the upper back of the wearer. The protective plate body is detachably attached to the wearer and has a plate-shaped protective plate body so that the outer surface can be covered with the wearer's clothes, and a helmet receiving part connected to the protective plate body. The receiving portion is integrally molded from synthetic resin, and includes a plate-shaped protruding portion that protrudes upward from the upper end of the protection plate main body, and a portion that supports the rear lower end of the helmet when the neck of the helmet wearer falls backward. A supporting portion extending rearward from the upper end of the protruding portion, and a space is formed between the supporting portion and the protruding portion to accommodate the collar of the garment so as to cover the protruding portion. Furthermore, according to a second feature of the present invention, in addition to the configuration of the first feature, a pair of straps that can be tied while being wrapped around both shoulders of the helmet wearer are connected to the protection plate main body. Ru.

The protection plate main body 5 includes a pair of shoulder rests 5a, which are applied to both shoulders of the helmet wearer M, respectively.
5a, an upper connecting part 5b connecting both shoulder rests 5a, 5a on the rear side of the neck N of the helmet wearer M, and a pair of side back rests 5c extending downward from both shoulder rests 5a, 5a. , 5c, and a central backrest part 5 extending downward from the central part of the upper connecting part 5b.
d, and a lower connecting portion 5e that interconnects the lower ends of the side backrest portions 5c, 5c and the center backrest portion 5d.
It is curved to correspond to the shoulders and upper back of the helmet wearer M. Moreover, the back rest parts 5c, 5c on both sides extend from the shoulder rest parts 5a, 5a so as to approach each other as they go downward, and the outer shape of the protection plate main body 5 is basically formed in a triangular shape. be done. Further, the surface of the protection plate main body 5 is covered with a skin 7.

The receiving portion 3 includes a plate-shaped protruding portion 3a that protrudes upward from the center of the upper connecting portion 5b, and a supporting portion 3b that extends in a fan shape while curving backward from the upper end of the protruding portion 3a. We are prepared. Thus, when the helmet wearer M is in a normal posture, the support portion 3b of the receiving portion 3 is located at a position spaced downward from the rear lower end of the helmet H, but when the helmet wearer M's neck N is Support part 3b at the rear lower end of the helmet H when it falls backward.
The helmet contacts and supports the helmet, and serves to prevent the neck N of the helmet wearer M from falling backwards beyond the allowable amount. Further, the support portion 3b
A space S is formed between and the protruding portion 3a so as to cover the protruding portion 3a and can receive the collar of the clothing C of the helmet wearer M.

The pad 6 is made by covering an elastic material 8 made of elastic synthetic resin such as styrene foam with a skin 9, and is formed into a shape corresponding to the external shape of the protection plate main body 5. It is fixed to the inner surface over its entire surface. By bringing the pad 6 into contact with the helmet wearer M, the relatively hard protection plate main body 5 can be prevented from coming into direct contact with the helmet wearer M, and an excellent wearing feeling can be obtained.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described. When a strong impact force is applied to the motorcycle V from the rear side while the motorcycle V is traveling, the neck N of the helmet wearer M tends to fall backward. However, as shown by the chain line in FIG. 1, when the neck N falls backward by a certain amount or more, the support portion 3b of the receiving portion 3 of the neck protection plate 2 comes into contact with the rear lower end of the helmet H, and the neck In this case, the force applied from the lower rear end of the helmet H to the support portion 3b is applied to the wearer M through the receiving portion 3 and the protection plate main body 5. Since it can be firmly received mainly by both shoulders, there is no risk that the protection plate main body 5 will shift.

C. Effects of the invention As described above, according to the first feature of the invention, when the neck of the helmet wearer falls backwards, the force applied from the lower rear end of the helmet to the supporting portion of the receiving part is transferred to the receiving part and the supporting part of the receiving part. It can be firmly held on both shoulders of the wearer through the protective plate body,
Since there is no risk of the protective plate main body being displaced at that time, it is possible to reliably prevent the helmet wearer's neck from falling backward beyond the allowable amount.

In addition, the neck protection plate in particular has the above-mentioned protection plate main body and the receiving part, and although it has a complex shape and structure as a whole, it can be integrally molded from synthetic resin as a whole. The entire protective plate can be manufactured very easily while imparting appropriate elasticity to the receiving portion, and its handling is also easy. Moreover, when the neck protection plate is worn, most of the part of the neck protection plate except for the support part of the receiving part (i.e., the main body of the protection plate and the protruding part of the receiving part) can be covered by the clothing of the helmet wearer. Since the attached part is plate-shaped and does not cause the garment to bulge out to a particularly large extent from the inside, the overall appearance of the protective equipment when worn is good.

According to the second feature of the present invention, in addition to the configuration of the first feature, the protection plate main body is provided with a pair of straps that can be tied while being wrapped around both shoulders of the helmet wearer. In addition to the effect of the first feature, the neck protection plate can be easily and removably attached to the helmet wearer without any special modifications to the clothing.
