Problems to be solved by the invention In the conventional technology described above, a canopy surrounding the driver's seat was sufficient to protect the driver from falling cargo objects such as earth and sand and other dangerous objects. In the event that the vehicle overturns, the canopy is insufficient to support the vehicle body, and in some cases, the canopy may be crushed by the vehicle's own weight, putting the driver in danger.

Means for Solving the Problem A safety support bar is provided between the rear pillars at the rear of the vehicle so as to connect the rear pillars to each other, and at least a portion of the safety support bar is at the same height as the upper surface of the canopy. The gist of this is that it was constructed to a higher height than that.

In the first embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, 1
is the body of a skid steer loader that runs on wheels 2, and is equipped with a pair of rear pillars 3 at the rear. This is a bucket 5 at the tip for cargo handling work.
A shovel arm 4 equipped with the above-mentioned shovel arm 4 is supported so as to be movable up and down, and a lift cylinder 6 for moving the shovel arm 4 up and down is rotatably supported by the rear pillar 3 below. A dump cylinder 7 for dumping the bucket cart 5 is rotatably supported above the rear pillar 3. On the other hand, a canopy 8 is provided around the driver's seat to shield the driver from the shovel arm 4 that moves up and down and objects falling from above. A safety support bar 9, which is appropriately bent, is installed between the upper portions of the opposing surfaces of the two rear pillars 3 arranged side by side, so as to connect the two rear pillars 3. The bent portion is provided so as to be located higher than the upper surface of the canopy 8 by a height A.

If the skid steer loader configured in this manner accidentally falls down on a steep slope or step during operation, and especially if it is reversed, the upper part of the vehicle body will be at a height A higher than the top surface of the canopy 8 with the safety support bar 9. Since the safety support bar 9 first contacts the ground and absorbs the impact, the canopy 8 comes into contact with the ground. Furthermore, even when the vehicle body is stationary in this state, the safety support bar supports a considerable amount of the vehicle weight, so the burden on the canopy 8 is significantly reduced compared to conventional models, and therefore no special reinforcement is required. The canopy 8 is not crushed and can reliably protect the driver inside. Furthermore, since the safety support bar 9 connects the two rear pillars 3, the strength of the rear pillar itself is significantly increased, and thereby protection against a fall becomes more reliable.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. This is achieved by installing appropriately bent safety support bars 91 on the outside of each of the two rear pillars 3 disposed at the rear of the vehicle body, and a portion of the safety support bars 91 having a width B on the left and right sides of the vehicle body. It is provided so as to protrude. By doing so, not only can the same effect as the above embodiment be obtained, but also when the vehicle body rolls over, the vehicle body is supported by the portion of the safety support bar 91 that protrudes to the left or right, and the canopy is Even if 8 comes into contact with something, the impact and burden will be significantly reduced and there will be no risk of being crushed.

In the first embodiment, a part of the safety support bar 9 protrudes from the top surface of the canopy in the height direction by an amount A, but this may be set at the same height as the top surface of the canopy. The same applies to the width B that projects in the lateral direction of the vehicle body in the embodiment.

Further, in the above embodiment, an example was shown in which the present invention was used in a skid steer loader, but it may also be used in other industrial vehicles.

Effects of the Invention As detailed above, according to the present invention, even if the vehicle falls over accidentally, the canopy will not be crushed, and the driver can therefore be reliably protected. Additionally, since the upper parts of the rear pillars are connected to each other by a safety support bar, the strength of the rear pillar itself is significantly increased. This not only protects the rear pillar in the event of a fall, but also prevents it from deforming, rattling, or rattling due to excessive loads applied during cargo handling operations. It has excellent effects such as preventing chatter and greatly improving lifespan.
