Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a radio device rack structure to easily take electrostatic countermeasures and to be enhanced in heat dissipating effect by a method wherein a center recess is provided to the side plate of a rack, an introduction rectangular hole is provided to the upper and the lower region of the side plate respectively, a ventilating hole is provided to the center recess of the side plate, and a space between both the side plates is partitioned by a tilted thermal shield plate. CONSTITUTION:An outer cable introduction rectangular hole 5 is provided to the regions near to the upper and the lower edge of the sidewall 4a of a center recess 4 U-shaped in cross section. A cooling operation is carried out by outside air introduced into the inside of a rack through a ventilating hole 10 provided to one of the side walls 4a of the center recess 4, where the outside air is guided to an upper shelf 7 through a thermal shield plate 9 located under the shelf 7 to cool an equipment ascending upwards. Warmed air is discharged out through the ventilating hole 10 provided to the other side plate 3' by the thermal shield plate 9 located above the shelf 7 and made to ascend upwards along the center recess 4. That is, warmed air is guided upwards making the center recess 4 serve as a duct. Therefore, a ventilating hole is not required to be provided to a front door, so that electrostatic discharge can be prevented.

This conventional rack structure has the following drawbacks. 1. The presence of the reinforcing overhanging portion 29 reduces the space inside the rack and reduces the mounting efficiency. 2. As shown in FIG. 8, when the external cable is introduced into the rack, the position of the terminal plate 30 differs depending on whether the cable is pulled over the rack or pulled under the rack, so that a common structure cannot be adopted. Also,
It is not possible to change the cable entry method after installation.

3. Electrostatic discharge energy may enter the inside through the ventilation holes in the door, damaging the equipment housed therein and causing a malfunction. 4. As shown in FIG. 8, a heat shield plate 11 is installed between the shelves to guide the equipment on the lower shelf to the rear space of the rack so that the warmed air does not disturb the equipment on the upper shelf. However, since this rear space is a storage place for the cables introduced into each shelf from the outside, the ventilation is poor and the heat dissipation effect is reduced.

The object of the present invention is to connect upper and lower frames with left and right side plates, attach a back plate and a front door to them, and mount a rack for mounting wireless devices therein in multiple stages. In the rack structure for a wireless device, the side plate includes a central recess having a U-shaped cross section extending in the height direction, and an outer line is formed in upper and lower end regions of side walls forming the U-shaped cross section of the central recess. A cable introduction hole is provided, a ventilation hole is provided in the bottom wall forming the U-shaped cross section of the central recess, and between the vertically adjacent shelves,
This is achieved by a rack structure in which a heat shield plate inclined from one side plate toward the other side plate is installed corresponding to the ventilation hole.

According to the rack structure assembled in this way, the external cable is housed in an orderly manner along the central recess of the side plate,
It is drawn into the rack from one of the upper or lower cable introduction holes on the side where the terminal board is installed. The heat generated from the internal device is cooled by the outside air introduced from the ventilation hole of one side plate, and the warm air is guided to the heat shield plate and escapes from the ventilation hole of the other side plate to the outside of the rack, and the central recess Is guided upward as a duct. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide a ventilation hole in the front door, and it is possible to prevent a failure of the wireless device inside the rack due to electrostatic discharge or the like.

The side wall 4a of the U-shaped cross section of the central recess 4 is provided with square holes 5 for introducing an external cable, in the regions near the upper and lower ends thereof. A set of four screw holes 6 are provided at a predetermined pitch on the bottom wall 4b having a U-shaped cross section, and by utilizing this, a plurality of shelves 7 for wireless device units are provided between the left and right side plates 3, 3 '. Are mounted side by side vertically. Two screw holes 8 are provided in the vicinity of the screw hole 6, and by utilizing this, the heat shield plate 9 diagonally traverses between the side plates 3 and 3 ', and vertically adjacent shelves. It is installed by dividing the space between 7 parts.

Ventilation holes 10 are provided in the side wall region between the shelves 7 which are vertically adjacent to each other. The back plate 11 and the front door 12 are attached to the rack body assembled in this way, and the rack structure having the appearance as shown in FIG. 2 is completed. In this rack structure, it is possible to mount a terminal plate for connection with an external cable at a predetermined position in advance and make it common. For example, if the terminal board 13 is provided in the upper part of the internal space of the rack as shown in FIG. 3, in the case of pulling on the rack, the cable is directly connected to the terminal board 13 through the opening of the upper frame 1 as in the conventional case. It is possible (see Figure 3a). In the case of retracting under the bridge, the cable may be first guided to the upper side along the central recess 4 and then retracted inside through the upper square hole 5 to be connected to the terminal board 13 (see FIG. 3b).

Cooling of the heat generated by the wireless device mounted on the shelf 7 is performed by the outside air introduced into the rack through the ventilation hole 10 of the central recess 4 of the one side plate 3 as shown in FIG. It is guided to the upper shelf 7 by the heat shield plate 9 at the lower part of the shelf and rises therein to cool the equipment.
Then, the warmed air is discharged from the ventilation hole 10 of the other side plate 3'by the heat shield plate 9 on the upper part of the shelf, and escapes upward along the central concave portion 4 there.

The rack structure of the present invention can be installed not only alone, but also a plurality of racks can be arranged adjacent to each other in parallel to form one rack assembly as shown in FIG. In this case, the protective covers 14 are attached to the side plates 3 and 3'of the racks at both the left and right ends to prevent a failure due to electrostatic discharge from the ventilation hole 10. In the rack assembly thus completed, the duct 15 having a square hole cross section is formed by the central recesses 4 of the adjacent side plates and functions as an exhaust passage for cooling air.

As described above in detail, the present invention has the following advantages. 1. The side plate is provided with a central recess to guide the external cable, and the introduction square holes are provided in the upper and lower end regions of the recess, so that the cable can be easily positioned up and down to the position of the terminal plate. Can be pulled into the rack.
This makes it possible to share different rack structures depending on the cable introduction method.

2. Since a ventilation hole is provided in the central recess and the space between the left and right side plates is separated by an inclined heat shield plate, the air that is introduced into the inside from the ventilation hole of one side plate and cools the equipment below is warmed. Is discharged from the ventilation hole of the other side plate, and it is possible to avoid adversely affecting the equipment above. Since the air passage is guaranteed by the central concave portion, ventilation is not obstructed and a sufficient cooling effect can be obtained.

3. Since the ventilation hole provided in the front door in the past can be eliminated, it is possible to eliminate the trouble of the device due to electrostatic discharge or the like. 4. The number of parts constituting the rack can be reduced. 5. Seismic resistance is improved compared to the conventional structure.
