Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the windowed cylindrical fitting for rubber vibration insulator which is low in working cost and is good in working efficiency by working a sheet metal which has a desired size and is provided with a window to a cylindrical shape and welding the butt parts thereof. CONSTITUTION:A rolled raw material 1 is delivered to a piercer 2 by which the window is formed. The raw material is then blanked by a pressing machine 3 to form the sheet metal 4 having the desired size. The sheet metal is worked to the cylindrical to form a cylindrical body 5. The butt parts 5a of the cylindrical body 5 are welded by a welding machine 6. A material having >=30% elongation is used as the sheet metal material. The butt parts are joined by tungsten inert gas arc welding. As a result, the need for postfinishing of the weld zone is eliminated.

2. Description of the Related Art A window is opened in a cylindrical metal member by, for example, an elastic body interposed between inner and outer cylinders arranged in parallel axes, and a restricted passage is provided on one or both sides of the elastic body through the inner cylinder. With a vibration-proof rubber that has a pair of liquid chambers that are in communication with each other, an elastic film forms the outer wall of one of the liquid chambers. If not, an air chamber that does not communicate with the liquid chamber cannot be formed outside the elastic film. Therefore, by opening a window in the cylindrical metal fitting and inserting a mold corresponding to the air chamber through the window, the elastic film of the vibration-proof rubber containing liquid is vulcanized and bonded to the cylindrical metal fitting. The presence of the window allows the formation of an air chamber outside the elastic membrane,
The elastic membrane can form the outer wall of the liquid chamber. In such a windowed cylindrical metal fitting, a pipe is cut into a desired length, and the cut pipe is subjected to a window opening process.

As shown in FIG. 1, the raw material 1 which has been wound in a roll shape as in the prior art is sent to a pierce 2, a window 11 is formed by the pierce 2, and then sent to a press machine 3 to be finished by the press machine 3. A sheet metal 4 having a width commensurate with the circumferential dimension is punched at required intervals in the width direction. The windows 11 may be formed and punched at the same time. The sheet metal 4 punched by the pressing machine 3 is then sent to a rounding process to form a cylindrical body 5 which is processed into a cylindrical shape. The portion of the abutting portion 5A of the cylindrical body 5 processed into the cylindrical shape is joined by tungsten / inert gas / arc welding by the inert gas arc welding machine 6. The sheet metal 4 in which the window 11 is opened by the piercing 2 is as shown in FIG. 2, and the cylindrical body 5 that is rolled in the rounding step is as shown in FIG. The welding of the butt portion 5A by the inert gas arc welding machine 6 is performed as shown in FIG. That is, the tungsten rod 7 is used as an electrode, and the inert gas 8 is applied from the gas nozzle 9 to the abutting portion 5.
It is sprayed on A and the arc heat is blown. In general arc welding or gas welding, it is necessary to use flux,
Tungsten inert gas arc welding does not require this because it is welded in inert gas and does not require mechanical or chemical treatment to remove slag or residual flux after welding. Further, the welded portion by tungsten / inert gas / arc welding is superior in ductility, strength, airtightness and fading compared to other welded portions of arc welding or gas welding. The cylindrical metal fitting 10 manufactured as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 has two windows 11 as shown in FIG. 4, and has tapered portions 12 at both ends after welding the butted portions 5A or at the stage of the raw material 1. Form. This taper part 12
Is thinner than other portions, and the cylindrical metal fitting 10 is set in a drawing die (not shown) so that both ends of the cylindrical metal fitting 10 can be easily drawn. As the material of the sheet metal 4, a material having excellent ductility in order to reduce deformation during radial drawing (diameter reduction), specifically, a material having elongation (ductility) of 30% or more as a mechanical property. Is preferred.

It is preferable in terms of manufacturing and strength that the abutting portion 5A is provided at a position different from the center between the windows 11 shown in FIG. 5, particularly at a position where the position is changed by about 180 degrees. Also, window 1
In the case of No. 1, forming two windows 11 as shown in FIG. 5 rather than forming one large one causes no inconvenience when drawing both ends of the cylindrical metal fitting 10. If only one large window is formed, the periphery of the window may be deformed differently from other portions during drawing.

A cylindrical metal fitting 10 as shown in FIG. 5 is set in a vulcanizing mold, and an elastic film 13 is vulcanized and adhered to the inside as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. An air chamber 14 is formed outside the elastic film 13 on the side facing the window 11. In order to form the air chamber 14, a part of the vulcanizing mold enters the air chamber 14 through the window 11. When the final vibration-insulating rubber containing liquid is filled with the liquid, the elastic film for sealing the liquid cannot be vulcanized unless the mold enters into the air chamber 14 from the window 11.

As described above, the anti-vibration rubber window-perforated cylindrical metal fitting of the present invention does not require processing of the pipe, so the processing cost is easy, the working efficiency is good, and it is suitable for automation. Further, according to the manufacturing method of the present invention, the welded portion does not rise as in the conventional case, and the post-processing of this welded portion becomes unnecessary. Further, since the product to be welded is stamped to a required size, it is possible to reduce the cost by about 30% compared with the method of manufacturing by manufacturing a pipe. Further, unlike the conventional case, there is no need to store or carry a long pipe, and transportation costs and storage space can be saved.
