Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain stable braking effect by improving cooling effect of a ventilated disc. CONSTITUTION:Ribs 3, extended in a radial direction, each has an outer end which is branched into two. A branch portion 5 of the rib 3 has an unengagement structure. Columnar ribs 9 are arranged on each of a substantial center of inner wall surfaces 1b, 2b. Semiconical grooves 6 are formed on the inner wall surfaces 1b, 2b of an inner disc 1 and an outer disc 2, which grooves 6 extend in a radial direction from an inner end thereof to a substantial center portion, for enlarging an area of an inner opening 7 of an air hole 4 and a surface area thereof. When the disc 1, 2 are rotated, a large amount of air is suctioned from the inner opening 7 of the air hole 4 into the air hole 4. The suctioned air cools the discs 1, 2 through the unengagement portion of the branch portion 5 and the columnar ribs 9.

In the conventional disc, when the disc is rotated, new air having a larger flow rate is sucked from the inner opening of the ventilation hole and forcedly blown into the ventilation hole, and then the outer opening of the ventilation hole is exposed to the atmosphere. Although discharged, there is a problem that the bifurcated branch of the rib is not sufficiently cooled. Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to improve a conventional disk to improve the cooling performance of a bifurcated branch portion of a rib.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION A ventilated disc according to the present invention comprises a radially extending rib having a bifurcated outer end and a branched portion which is disengaged from the inner disc and the outer disc. Each inner wall surface is provided with a semi-conical groove extending in the radial direction from the inner end portion to the substantially central portion, and a columnar rib is further provided at the substantially central portion of both inner wall surfaces. The opening area and the surface area are formed larger than in the conventional case.

Since the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, a large amount of air is sucked into the ventilation hole from the inner opening of the ventilation hole when the disk is rotated, and is forcedly blown along the ribs, and then the outer side of the ventilation hole. It is sequentially discharged into the atmosphere from the opening, and in particular, the inner disc and the outer disc are cooled via the non-engaging portions of the rib branch portion and the columnar ribs.

1 and 2 show a ventilated disc according to the present invention, in which an annular inner disc 1 and an outer disc 2 are connected by a large number of ribs 3 extending in a radial direction, and an outer disc. A bottomed cylindrical hat portion 4 is connected to the inner peripheral edge of the disc 2, and a large number of vent holes 4 are formed by the discs 1 and 2 and the rib 3. The inner disk 1 and the outer disk 2 are formed to have the same outer diameter, but the inner disk 1 is formed to have an inner diameter larger than that of the outer disk 2, and the area of the sliding surface 1a of the inner disk 1 is increased. It is formed smaller than the area of the sliding surface 2a of the outer disk 2. The outer end of the rib 3 extending in the radial direction is formed into a bifurcated shape, and the branch 5 is formed in a non-engaging manner. The inner end of the inner wall 1b, 2b of each of the disks 1, 2 is formed. Is provided with a semi-conical groove 6 extending in the radial direction from the central portion to the substantially central portion, and a large number of columnar ribs 9 are provided substantially at the central portions of the inner wall surfaces 1b and 2b. 4 communicate with each other, and the area of the inner opening 7 of the vent hole 4 is formed larger than the area of the outer opening 8.
