Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject device reduced in irritation to the skin, can follow the irregularity of the skin and has a simple structure, by a method wherein a member to be applied to the skin, which is provided on at least one side of a body hair- removing means, is elastically supported on a main body or a frame, in order that the distance between the member and the body hair-removing means can be varied in the progressive direction of the main body. CONSTITUTION:A guide 39 is composed so that a pair of member 391 to be applied to the skin can be joined each other on both sides of a body hair-removing means. One of the members 391 acts as a skin-depressing part 392 and the other as a skin- extending part 393. In this way, irritation is lightened, and long hairs and laid hairs are raised, and thus the efficiency introducing these hairs to the clearance between a fixed catch 31B and a movable catch 32 is hightened. A pair of the member 391 each are joined to the guide 39 with a pair of elastic legs 392, and their elastic supports each are formed almost at the center between a pair of the members 391. Therefore, the members 391 can come in and out in depressed direction against the skin and can be moved in the progressive direction of a main body. As the result of it, even if the skin is accidentally pinched between the fixed catch 31B and the member 391, its shock is lightened.

However, the conventional hair removing device of this type has a problem due to the following reasons. That is, as shown in FIG. 23, the rotary nail 20 for hair removal is designed to pull out hair by coming into contact with the skin through the opening 22 of the lid 21 at the time of hair removal. The skin may be caught between the end surface of the opening 22 and the rotary nail 20. Therefore, if the opening 22 is enlarged to increase the distance between the end surface and the epilating means, the end of the opening 22 serving as the skin contact portion is separated from the rotary nail 20 serving as the epilating means, so that the part of the epilation that is close to the skin can be pressed. However, there is a problem in that the skin is pulled together with the hair during hair removal, the distance traveled by the skin becomes longer, and irritation when hair is removed becomes greater.
