Widely used as sound absorbing materials. It is also widely practiced to laminate foam sheets with nonwoven fabrics, cloth, and plastic films (for example,
54-27182, JP 54-55086, JP 55-17560, etc.). However, it was still unsatisfactory in terms of cushioning properties and light weight.

The above-mentioned three-dimensional reticular sheet has a large number of continuous thermoplastic resin filaments with a diameter of 0.2 to 2.0 mm that are bent three-dimensionally and extend to intersect in some places, and are fused to each other at the intersecting positions to form a large number of ridges between the ridges. This is a sheet with depressions formed therein.

Any thermoplastic resin can be used as the resin constituting the filament, but those with excellent cushioning properties, flexibility, etc. are preferable, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polycarbonate, etc. can be given. Further, in order to impart weather resistance, heat resistance, etc. to the filament, or to color it, conventionally known ultraviolet stabilizers, heat stabilizers, colorants, etc. may be included.

If the filament is thin, its mechanical strength will be low and the cushioning properties will be lost; if it is thick, the porosity will decrease, the bulk specific gravity will increase, and the flexibility will decrease, so the diameter of the filament should be 0.2 to 2.0.
It is limited to mm.

Furthermore, since the three-dimensional reticular sheet needs to be flexible, have excellent cushioning properties, and be lightweight, the area weight relative to the thickness is 50,000 g/m 3 or less, and the porosity is greater than 95%.

Examples of the foamed sheet include foamed sheets made of polyolefin such as polyethylene and polypropylene, polyurethane, nylon, polyester, etc., but closed-cell polyolefin foamed sheets are preferred from the viewpoint of heat insulation properties, cushioning properties, etc.
The expansion ratio is preferably 5 to 40 times.
