Conventionally, the upper edge of a ladle used to receive molten steel, hot metal, etc. is called the non-immersion area because the molten metal does not come into direct contact with it, and firebrick, which does not require corrosion resistance, is rarely used. However, various measures are generally taken to obtain better durability. Figures 4 to 6 show an example of such a conventional lining construction state for the upper edge of the ladle. Figure 4 is a plan view, and Figure 5 is an enlarged cross section taken along line C-C in Figure 4. FIG. 6 is an enlarged sectional view taken along the line DD in FIG. 4.

A small hole 1a is bored in the iron skin 1 constituting the outer shell of the ladle to allow water vapor that evaporates from the lining material to escape after construction. Conventionally, in the lining of a ladle, the inner surface of the iron skin 1 has not only a molten metal immersed area but also a non-immersed area as shown in FIG. In order to prevent molten metal from entering the ladle, corrosion-resistant bricks, so-called permanent bricks 2, are lined from the bottom of the ladle to the upper edge 3 of the ladle, and new Following the lower stamp material covering the permanent brick 2, for example, the zircon stamp material 4 and the waxy stone stamp material 5 from below, an upper edge brick 6 made of ordinary refractory brick is newly lined. The permanent bricks 2, upper edge bricks 6, etc. are held down with a presser foot 7.

In addition, at the upper edge 3 on the side of the slag discharge port 8 for discharging slag, studs 9 are provided on the inner surface of the steel shell 1 as shown in FIG. 6 instead of the permanent bricks 2 or the upper edge bricks 6. The cast refractory section 10 is constructed by applying or spraying a refractory material to prevent residual hot water from entering.

When the conventional construction method as described above is used, the cast refractory part 10 peels off due to mechanical impact during the slag removal work performed every 2 to 3 charges on the slag outlet 8 side, exposing the studs 9. In each case, it was necessary to carry out cold or hot spraying repairs. Furthermore, when constructing castable refractories by spraying, the environment deteriorated due to scattering of dust and aggregate. In addition, the upper edge bricks 6 on the side other than the slag outlet 8 may become loose due to mechanical impact and fall off, or when the molten metal overflows, the stamp material, e.g. waxy stone stamp material 5, may Molten metal may enter from the interface with the edge bricks 6 and the upper edge bricks 6 may melt and wear out abnormally, and furthermore, the iron shell 1 may melt due to the penetration of molten metal, so replacing the upper edge bricks 6 is not recommended. skin 1

In addition, during construction work, the stamping of the lower part of the ladle, the upper edge brick 6 and the cast fireproof part 10 are carried out.
Work efficiency was low because the work had to be done separately from the construction work. As described above, the conventional method of lining the upper edge of the ladle has various problems.

In other words, when lining the upper edge of the ladle that continues above the bricks lined on the inner surface of the iron skin of a ladle for molten steel, etc., the present invention provides lining that has a U-shaped cross section and the opening side is lined with the inner surface of the iron skin of the ladle. An iron box with a curved shape and multiple deaeration holes on its vertical surface is placed at the top edge of the ladle with heat-resistant fibrous insulation material filled inside each box. A ladle characterized in that, after being annularly fixed to the inner surface of the steel shell, the vertical surface of the box body is continuously covered with a stamp material covered with bricks, and the upper surface of the box body is covered with a castable refractory material. The present invention relates to a method for lining the upper edge.

In the method of the present invention, instead of the permanent brick 2 used in the prior art for lining the upper edge 3 of the ladle, the lining has a U-shaped cross section as shown in FIG.
An iron box body 11 having a diameter is used. Furthermore, this box body 11 is also used for the slag discharge port 8 as shown in FIG. The overall shape of the box body 11 has a U-shaped cross section with the opening side curved along the inner surface of the iron skin 1 of the ladle. Therefore, the opening can be brought into contact with the inner surface of the steel shell 1 over the entire length of the box body 11, and if the box body 11 is lengthened and brought into contact with the entire inner circumference of the steel shell 1, an annular hole can be formed. A torso will be formed.
In this case, the box 11 may be one annular body, but
Considering workability, it is preferable to use one divided into multiple pieces. Further, it is preferable to use the box body 11 having a width that is approximately the same as the thickness of the permanent brick 2 in order to align the inner circumferential surface after lining. In the method of the present invention, the inside of the box 11 is filled with a heat-resistant fibrous heat insulating material 12 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, and the upper edge 3 of the ladle is The heat-resistant fibrous heat insulating material 12 is fixed to the inner surface of the iron shell 1 in an annular manner, that is, the annular cavity is filled with the heat-resistant fibrous heat insulating material 12.

Next, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the entire vertical surface 11a of this box 11 is continuously covered with the same stamp material as that used to cover the permanent bricks 2 below. In the illustrated example, the lower part of the permanent brick 2 is covered with the zircon stamp material 4 to a predetermined height, and then the remaining permanent brick 2 is covered with the waxy stone stamp material 5, and then the same waxy stone stamp is used. The material 5 is stamped up to the top to cover the entire vertical surface 11a of the box body 11. In order to protect the upper surface of the box body 11 from erosion caused by the molten metal, a cast refractory part 10 having a thickness sufficient for protection is constructed using castable refractories. A presser foot 7 is fixed to the upper edge 3 other than the slag outlet 8 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.

Here, a plurality of deaeration holes 11 are provided on the vertical surface of the box body 11.
The reason for providing b is to discharge gas and water vapor in the permanent brick 2 and the stamp materials 4 and 5 to the outside of the iron skin 1 on the upper edge 3. Also, box body 1
The reason why the fibrous heat insulating material 12 was filled inside 1 was as follows.
The purpose is to provide a heat insulating effect and a ventilation effect, and as a result, deformation of the iron skin 1 of the upper edge 3 can be prevented. Next, the reason why stamp material 5 is applied to the top is to maintain a uniform thickness with the bottom part, and to prevent molten metal from entering by making it a continuous body made of the same material and eliminating any boundary surfaces. This is to prevent the iron skin 1 from being damaged by erosion.

According to the method of the present invention, only a small amount of the cast fireproof part exists, and its inner surface is covered with the stamp material, so there is no chance of it peeling off.
In addition, there is no need for studs, and the continuum of stamp material makes it difficult for molten metal to penetrate, reducing erosion of the steel shell.Furthermore, since bricks are not used at the upper edge, brick replacement and spray repair are possible. This has completely eliminated the problem, making it possible to lining the upper edge of the ladle with excellent durability. In addition, in terms of construction, by covering the ladle from the bottom to the top with stamp material, it is now possible to construct the bottom and top edges of the ladle at the same time, greatly improving work efficiency and reducing costs. It can also greatly contribute to the reduction. Here, the iron box fixed to the upper edge also serves as a guide during disassembly, so it has the effect of protecting the permanent bricks and clamping hardware, and the ladle can be used semi-permanently. It became like that.
