ユニットの内部の全体構成を示す斜視図であり、基板1
の前方下部に具備した圧縮機2および前記基板1の後方
に具備した熱交換器3、さらに中央前方部に配設した送
風機4および上部に配設した電装箱5により構成されて
いる。又、前記圧縮機2の本体側部には圧縮機電源端子
を保護するための圧縮機電源端子保護カバー6が装着さ
れている。同図におけるA方向から見た前記圧縮機2付
近の部分図を図2に示す。図2において前記圧縮機2に
装着された前記圧縮機電源端子保護カバー6は前記圧縮
機2の電源端子に接続する導線7を引出すための出口孔
8を斜目下方部に設け、底面には斜面部9を設けた構成
となっている。上記の構成により、室外ユニットの冠水
もしくは浸水で圧縮機電源端子保護カバー6の近傍に水
が掛かった場合でも斜目下方部に設けた出口孔8から内
部の圧縮機電源端子へ水が浸入しにくい。又、底面に斜
面部9を設けているため圧縮機電源端子保護カバー6に
掛かった水は適切に水切りがなされる。一方、圧縮機電
源端子保護カバー6の内部に浸水しても、斜目下方部に
設けた出口孔8および底面に設けた斜面部9により、浸
入した水は即時、出口孔8から外部へ排水されることに
なる。さらに、圧縮機電源端子に接続した導線7を引出
す場合に底面に斜面部9を設け、出口孔8を斜目下方部
に設けているため、真下部に設けた孔から引出す場合に
比べて容易かつ高さ方向の距離を必要とせずに、導線7
を無理な力を加えることなく出口孔8から上方に引出し
