Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noises, which are generated during operation of an outdoor unit for an air conditioner, by covering an accumulator with a noise insulating material. CONSTITUTION:In the case of operation of an air conditioner, namely, a compressor 3, noises such as a vibration noise and a refrigerant circulation noise are generated from an accumulator 2. However, these noises are insulated and absorbed by a noise insulating material 1 covering the accumulator 2. The noise insulating material 1 is made of a sewed matter according to the shape of the accumulator 2, whereby the enclosing properties of the noise insulating material 1 are increased to make a noise-proof effect greater.
